Yes! I am going to be spending a long couple of days categorizing things lol. I haven't finished categorizing all the G2 stuff yet but its all converted. Woot!
Yup! My G8 clothing library has gotten huge! Enjoy.
The cape and tunic didn't convert well, which wasn't surprising, so I used a different cloak (Warrior King). Also the transparency fur is very ... iffy with modern rendering. Generally G -> G8 is a tricky beast.
But I'm pleased.
Yeah, the fur is not great. Otherwise, it looks good and a nice render. Did you try using the Cape conformer on the cape?
That was autoconverted. I didn't fuss too much with it because I prefer using dForce and had a more up to date cape to use
I should consider using my Oso Fur on the mantle. hmm
I meant choose a different conformer when converting (i.e., double-click the item in the clothing list in the script and change its conformer choice) The choice of conformers can make a big difference between an unusable conversion and one that is a joy.
I bought both Genesis converters yesterday, but I'm in the middle of tranferring my content to a larger drive so I won't have a chance to try these until the weekend. That said, has anyone tried using dforce on any of these. I'm thinking that that would greatly increase the quality of the more "dough-y" outfits like the surgical scrubs.
Picked this up straight away as I did a SuperSuit that I rather liked for Genesis, never put it in the store but hoping it looks really good on Genesis 8 Male. I really hope both boot types make it over nicely. I hope the gloves come over well too. Fingers crossed!
I am so far behind on using on my converters, I really must put a day aside to just work on catching up! Thank you for all the work you are putting into these. Of course I picked them both up when I saw them (along with some more Genesis clothing) .
OK, trying to convert but I'm getting errors. I have the files, they load just fine into DAZ Studio. I followed the instructions, perhaps I missed something.
Clear scene,
Load up Genesis 8 Male
Start script to convert
Set up the output directory
Browse to the folder where my Supersuit set is, select all the duf files
Uncheck all and just checked the Supersuit itself and hit the convert item(s)

Possible, it would require some work though. I haven't tried it.

Why does it need "clothing" in the path to convert? Seems strange to me. It's an obj being refitted to another obj basically.
If I must add this to a path, what path, what file? I have an entire folder for this suit and it's additional components like gloves, boots, cape, mask and the like... so to move forward I need this info so I can get this done.
RAMWolff try resaving it on Genesis as a Figure /Prop asset it should convert after that I just do that and save it in the original file delete the new thumbnail so the original shows up then run it through the converter
hmm, I don't have Genesis 1 installed and the clothing is all saved out properly. It loads into the scene just fine! Just won't convert because of some line/word the script isn't seeing. Here is a screen grab of it in the viewport showing the bones....
okay so I stopped the render I was working on to try this and the Basic suit doesn't show as a clothing item even after resaving ,the Supersuit does show up But it is not a good conversion .....arms hands are off in that they are slightly behind G8M arms and hands same with the torso .......BUT!! I tried something else have you just tried using auto fit for the Super Suit? I went ahead since the conversion didn't work and tried Autofit on G8M The Brute for an extreme figure ...and got this hope it helps
Yea, if I load up the Suit with G8M selected the autofit dialog pops up. Not sure if Genesis is in there, I'm quite sure it probably is by default as a refit option but if this won't work for me then I'll have to return it, this set I created years back was one of the only reasons I got this to try to see if converting over, better than auto fit as it says, to perhaps make it a sellable product.

The "Clothing" or "Accessories" is needed in the path to allow the script to figure out how to create the subfolders in the output directory. Usually, the script will see something like D:\Beta Library\People\Genesis\Clothing\RAMWorks\SuperSuit Set\SuperSuit.duf and go, "I need to put this item in the OUTPUT DIRECTORY\Clothing\RAMWorks\SuperSuit Set\SuperSuit.duf "

I don't have the supersuit but I have Octavius which has gloves. Interestingly, the morphing for the female does a better job than the morphing for the male, on the gloves at least. I will ask Sickleyield about this. Perhaps she can tweak the morph to get better results.

It looks like it is a problem with the script. I will look into it this weekend.

I have purchased both converters, so wardrobe for Genesis 8 characters on my computer will expand, soon.
The other idea to think of, is transferring V4/M4 morphs to Genesis 8 - that will be awesome.
He'll be having nightmares if that is mentioned again but yeah, I totally agree lol
For the record, G8M can now wear some of the Genesis Female clothing. Worked quite well on the majority of them from my quick run through last night.
And then we want a converter for KIDS 4 to DAZ Dog 2, so we can dress our mutts in all those adorable kids outfits.

Yes, yes, yes, I know, I know. No nightmares though. I just gibber in the corner

RiverSoftArt might have a better solution to make the conversion fit better, give him a chance to answer ......
