A little OT but this Blender plugin looks interesting, might come in handy for making clothes.

A Blender UI developer team has been set up which includes Andrew Price.

the fact that Ton has reached out to him is a good sign. I don't want to get my hopes up but I'd be lying if I said they're not from seeing his name on that roster.

You can try to get a Blender Version 2.69.8 at Graphicall.org if you want to test the new Tabbed Addon toolbar

The version I got also has Volume Rendering for Cycles and Depthgraph multithread

Me too. He seems to be the only one in the Blender community who isn't advocating for "keep doing the same thing but harder" approach to Blender's horrible U.I.

yea, well if that's what Ton said he's not getting a Christmas Card from me this year.

So people who use Blender never clean their toilets? :gulp:

I clean toilets for a living and I've used blender since before version 2.49.

So, yeah, I guess what he's saying is that the blender developers aren't smart enough to clean their toilets. :)

    ...interesting.

When they get a pointing device driven default camera and undo history so you can undo by individual steps instead of undoing everything at once, I might be back.

the camera was confusing for me at first not it makes perfect sense but does not behave like a Poser or Daz Studio camera. The Undo is confusing as well but it's supposed to be able to undo multiple states of Edit, or Object or Pain or whatever depending on what mode your in when you click undo. I now find myself looking for some of the things Blender does well when i use Studio and remembering I'm not using Blender. I would love to see a grab function in Studio.

Like click and drag your way around the viewport?

It gets to be annoying when you have the spot render tool up in DS...

...I just want to move the main workspace (viewport) camera around what I am modelling like can be done in Silo or Hexagon. All This hotkey stuff is absolutely tedious.

They should model the Undo after Gimp's Undo and "Undo History" function so you can either incrementally "back up" or select a specific point to back up to.

Also while working on a mesh some of the selection tools don't seem to work consistently sometimes selecting the area you want to work on, sometimes not, or sometimes selecting more than what you want to work on.

well that and just in general, I like to be able to pick up an object as a default state not change my tool to translate if I was in something else.
