I have tried on norrmal and BETA. on fresh install too..
Still not working.
DIM is installed. everything is done the correct way..
How do you mean copy the script?
It just use to work.. so im confused to why it no longer does..
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling..
OK, I asked Cake one if she had an issue, because on my side it works perfectly, but I know she is not working on the same DS version as I am. Waiting for an answer, but in the meantime:
1. Can you make me a copy of the end of the log file (DS top menu help/troubleshouting/view log file) when you launch the script, and post it here?
2. By copy the script, I mean, you right click on the script, make "browse to file location", once done you select the script (in your normal browser), make "copy", then go for instance to your desktop, make "paste", and then you drag and drop the script in the viewport.
3. Last question, did you try other figures, or is the issue limited to one figure?
4. "edit": does the interface open or not at all?
Hey
DS is urrently rendering so it may takes a little time before i do some tests.
Hohhobuk, Do other scripts work normally or is it just this one that has an issue?
More news, Cake one tested it (DS 4.12.0.86), and it works. It seems that there is an update in DIM for her, but if I remember well, this update ony consists in adding/changing metallic flakes properties, nothing to do with the transfer script (which is not supposed to have changed during this update, which occured in april or may 2019). We will have to investigate more to see what is specifically happening to you, we are waiting for your inputs.
I tested on the latest publishing build BETA and on the normal build and for me it works like a charm.
I can not reproduce your issue and as long as we don't know if it's the only script that does not work on your system or if no script work at all, there is nothing much wa can do.
Please, feel free to continue that discussion if you need more help.
Thank you
OK I have an idea. Can you check that you have no daz connect install, and if it is the case, uninstall the "cloud" (daz connect) version?
Hey
Kinda just stopped using this due to the bug. But recently thought I'd give it another shot, as since I last tried, my pc has been wiped so everything is fresh. Still same error. Tried with various figures, but I know its not those as it use to work.. unsure why its stopped.. something must have been updated and broken it.. unsure.. but its still not working.
Is there a way of forcing a log to capture things, I cannot find where it would.. Maybe I am looking at the wrong logs.
It is only the gens script, everything else works fine, other similar types of scripts work well, the skins etc work, removing and adding.. its odd..
The error it shows says 'error in reading file'
Unsure what you mean? I installed this via Daz software itself, as it pops up in there since purchase?
Sometimes it happens that with scripted products, smart content (installed by Daz software itself) has CMS issues (they exist, they work, but they stop being recognized). In this case the best thing in to uninstall the smart content version, and to use either a manual install or a DIM install.
There are four ways to install content for Studio (DAZ is the company, not the software). 1. Manually, 2. Daz Install Manager (DIM, my preference), 3. Connect (which can be used from inside Studio, but has issues w/ some products), and 4. DAZ Central (new but buggy). If you installed while the Studio application, then that is Connect. @V3Digitimes is asking you to uninstall from Connect and use DIM.
Thanks a lot, this is more clear! Well manual or DIM, depending on what's easiest... The most important being to uninstall the connect version first, this is what can "corrupt" the CMS.
