I know this is OT, but the death toll in the Philippines may exceed 10,000 from the worst storm in history. That is 5 times the lives lost in the World Trade center tragity here in America. All in a single storm. This makes one realize just how fast it could all end for us.

So….count your blessings folks and give thanks to God for what you have now. Don’t ever take life for granted and live each day like it could be your last. Most of all though, take time tomorrow and stop and smell the roses, and if you have a child (or relative), give him/her a big hug and tell them how much you love them, even if for just a moment, then give thanks to God for them.

    just my thoughts on it.

Here's another 1940 Ford Coupe render. It's the GTA conversion as well. I had started working with this one a few weeks back but abandoned it due to frustration, but the 40 ford is one of my fav's so worked on it some more yesterday and today. I'm not satisfied with it yet but thought I would post this render of it for now. Will definitely keep working with this one.

    Happy Veterans Day to all.

Sorry dude, these things take a lot of time to do well and, quite frankly, its not a very interesting car which is probably why no one has done it before. It also isn't going to sell as a model for the same reason. Why not have a go yourself, you never know what you can do unless you try.

Looks real nice as is. I love the hood work. I have noticed your chrome is superb, what shader do you use for such a sharp chrome.

    Beautiful!....I love the fordies too!

I have searched all my GTA links for one. I found three...a 2006, a Mazda 6 Sport and a 2009, but there are no 2013s. Maybe it's just too new a model and no one has gotten to it yet. If you want them I can send them to you. The 2009 below is locked and can not be converted though. A screencap of the 2009 below.

NICE WORK DUDE! Looks like one Boyd Coddington did on the American Hot Rod TV show from a 1959 chevy Impala. They completely restored the 59 Chevy and did one like this to his Harley motorcycle to match the car. It was awesome. It needs a fender well inside it to block out the view of the ground underneath like a car has. And it needs a windshield coming up from the front fender. Oh...and one of those long CB antennas on the back with a racoon tail tied to the top...hehehe. This is way too cool!

Here is the article when Boyd died.

Have you checked DMI Cars? There are tons of free cars there and they are all good quality.
You might have to tweak somethings or even use a different program to convert them into Daz/Poser but hey, it's free!
I know you said you're tight on cash, but if you're really dead set on that model, you're gonna have to pony up some dough.
I found a 2013 Mazda here (very expensive! like everything else over there)

And as John Sims already pointed out, it's a pretty new model and it isn't very popular

My advice, find a similar, free model, at DMI or elsewhere.

Welcome HA to the thread. We love car and bike lovers. The DMI site is pretty popular here. You can convert any lightwave .lwo files with Poseray, a free stand alone proggie, and it does them quite well with textures and all. Many of us use Poseray up in here. It also does .3ds files. You convert to .obj files that can be imported into Daz Studio or Poser, Bryce, Hexagon, etc.

Hey...I found the 59 chevy and motorcycle set that Boyd Coddington did! The guy that did all the sheet metal work, old Roy Schmidt, died right after this on November 27, 2005. It was his last build. Boyd died on February 27, 2008.

Correct...I edited my post...lol. He was "Mr. Hot Rod".

If you will got to the link I put for Old Roy (just above this) and read what it says about him filling the trash bag up with gas, then using the torch striker to explode it....I saw on one episode where he turned a huge styrofoam cup upside down on the table, slid it to the edge where just a little opening was showing, filled it full of torch gas, then slid it back trapping the gas inside. When all the guys came back into the shop, he slid it to the edge again and hit the striker just under the little opening....it shot that cup all the way to the shop ceiling like a rocket. Everybody in the shop jumped scared. Old Roy just sat there grinning, and they knew he was up to his old tricks. I LMAO!

I find the most convenient route from DAZ to 3DS Max is to export from DAZ as an FBX. 3DS Max will import quite a lot of different format files though (with more or less success). OBJ's also seem to work without too much of an issue.

The best option is open your source program ask to do an export and see what file types are available and then open your receiving program (3DS Max ?) and do an import command and see which file types match.

Hmmm...I have never heard of an .oth file before. You mean .obj file?

If so...Poseray will convert .3ds to .obj files.

The bike looks good. Maybe I can get a copy from you and I will convert it to .obj or .3ds...or both for you. If we can get a nice .obj file, I can UV map it for you and make a nice Police texture for the body and save you the template...maybe...lol. You can send the Sketchup file if you like. I will see what I can do with it. Maybe some flames on black too. We'll see.
