Urgh, tablet troubles again and nothing I could look up has helped >3<

See, I've got this dual screen setup, so I can have ref pics on the big PC monitor and do my drawin' on the laptop one... But it's too hard to get good horizontal movement because the tablet is spreading across both screens.
I read that I need to go into the tablet settings to make it use only one monitor, but I can't open that file

At first, it would insist that "You have no supported tablet". So I uninstalled the whole thing, then installed their latest driver and downloader. Installed it and restarted my computer and opened it again - DIFFERENT message this time but no less frustrating.

"Your tablet is not working properly. Is this persists, either reinstall it or get the latest driver"

Okay so first, my tablet IS working.
Second, I've reinstalled it twice now
Third, I **DID** get the latest driver for it.
Ugh.

I asked a friend about this, and his only advice was "get a Mac". Yeah, well while I have been considering a Mac strictly for art stuff... I'd really rather get this working on my laptop =/

I've seen this on 64bit win 7 and 8 running the comodo firewall, although wacom recommends disabling all third party firewalls I had success changing the USB port meh don't exactly remember but think it worked when I connected it to a hub.
Although getting a mac is a good idea Windows supports Wacom tablets quite well imo :)

eta oh my google fu not so good today, see

http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=12845

I'm using Avast, and it's firewall has been relatively picky with some things.... I dunno. Really not in the mood for trying to troubleshoot this right now, and just wanna go to sleep... Zzz...

Oh goody, now Photoshop is deciding my tablet doesn't have Pressure Sensitivity support. Second time it's done this, nothing I do fixes it. Urgh. FINALLY I'm in the mood to draw again, and this. >_<

Anyway. It's a Wacom Bamboo, I've had it for years. Maybe it's just,... Showing it's age now. I don't know.
I also have an Intuos 4 but I rarely use it.

I thought the Intuos 4 was a higher end product, compared to their Bamboo.

Finally got it working - even the preference utility that was being super stubborn.

Booted into Safe Mode after uninstalling it (again) and went into Program Files and removed the 'Tablet' folder. After reinstalling (again) it worked ^^

@DanaTA: It is. Much larger, more buttons, came bundled with Autodesk Sketchbook and Photoshop Elements. I used it once and only once. I was more comfortable with the tiny little square Bamboo - partially because the Intuos took up so much space ^^;

I always go for the quality stuff. I'd love to have one of those. I have to concentrate on how to move to Windows 7, though. Money that I don't have will be spent on keeping my computer online and workable.

The top three were fairly recent freebies for PC members. But 9% is rather odd.

I keep finding out I have lost stuff replacing my content library using DIM on a new drive!
so much NOT in my purchase history I had, all legit, just other sources like Cnet, the freebie archive, mag discs etc.
latest found was poor Hiro 3 got overlooked when Daz figures free and I added them all so would be in my history
need another big DO sale I think!!!

thing is one of the recent previous ones I bought a lot of clothes and textures for him!! thought he was neglected and the bugger ran off on me!

I just got up a little while ago, so...but I am confused. Are you saying the DIM is losing stuff on you? Or that it is finding stuff that you had already lost? The former would be a bit scary, and a reason I would continue to not use it.

DanaShe is saying she has now done a Clean install with DIM and some items from her old content library is not in the new one due to the fact they were from disks and other sites, thus not in her My Products. DIM has nothing to do with items installed from disks or other sites. She is not saying DIM lost things.

putting Poser and Rendo stuff etc on another drive
but not all my Daz stuff is in my account order history
so I deleted when I removed from old library before I realized

Must be a glitch in the PC pricing. Out of 2552 items listed as Platinum Club products, there are currently only 54 of them priced at $1.99.
There are 3 items listed as Freebies. The rest are $2.99 or higher.
My guess? The recent PA and Flash Sales, combined with the ongoing Snowball Sale, are playing havoc with the prices.

Yea, the team are still looking into it.. however it looks like it's going to be with us for weekend unless someone is in :)

I have noticed that Blender seems to be software and religion rolled into one.

AA, try to choose a different image/page # like 15 or 30. Does it still show the same prices?
If you click on a product, does the product page show the correct price?

I've got a friend who uses Blender exclusively, and while he's pretty adamant about not getting 3DCoat (Blender has sculpting too) and so on, he's pretty understanding of a person's preference to use other software and tools. That doesn't change his thoughts that Blender would be "better" (Hey, I'm the same with Cinema 4D :B ), but he doesn't get all insulting and stuff ^_^

When he says 'better' it's more him making a recommondation (Can be easier, doesn't take as long, is more stable, etc) as opposed to saying it's superior - which he's never said.

The snow is pretty.

I need to learn how to use a graphic design program to create my own fake advertisments and magazine covers. Gimp is not a fancy page layout program.

Appologies to Muscleman and DimensionTheory. Yosemite HDRI renders faster than uber area light.

Now it looks like maybe, just maybe, the PC prices are working again. Like Dana, I thought 9% was really an odd figure.

Oh Frank0314, I was able to buy Sam for $1.99. Looks like someone in Utah fixed the pricing of the platinum club items.

It's raining where I am. The clouds are thick. wow.

I'm used to holly with the pointy leaves. But I've come to find out that there are hundreds of species.

Morning. Lazy Sunday morning, even the neighbourhood cats are lazing in bright sun next to the birds they are 'sposed to be chasing around :)

I don't think there will be any cats lazing around here when Sunday morning arrives. We already have at least an inch of snow on the ground, and it's supposed to get heavier tonight overnight. The forecast was for 3 to 6 inches by the time it's all over tomorrow. I'm wondering if that has changed, it was supposed be coming down pretty heavily by now, and it's not. Maybe it shifted more to the east and we only got the fringe. I'd be OK with that!
