So I think your idea for reducing the pipes above the cabinetts slightly was good, it looks better and I did a bit more detail on the celing and the med bay beds now each have their own scanning unit. Each unit is animatable seperetly by slider.
Also did a material preset for on and off for the pipes above the cabinetts as well as the pipes on the celing.
I like what you did with the beds. Is this an emergency room, ICU, or ...
One thing also to consider is that normally even in the busiest emergeny rooms, they have curtains for privacy. may i suggest a "Privacy field" that is a grey forcefield slightly translucent but that will block vision when enabled? Modelling wise, it would be a simple set of panes with the right shader setting but it would add to the belivability if used in a story. We can even claim they are sound-proof for added privacy. *chuckle* Who will know expect Michael and Victoria? :)
The new version of the Med Bay looks amazing!
Could you perhaps remove the jagged handle of the beds and reduce the length of the grid below the beds slightly? I ask, because the handle serves no real purpose, because the beds are mounted on the floor.
It may be used to tilt or raise the bed but perhaps it could be less obtrusive. I think some sort of controls on the side of the bed would be wonderful.
A suggestion of design here may help. This is just visual reference for you to consider. :)
Good ideas all. thank you so much. will look into them and get back to you.
I also added a MedicalBOT to help out with things.
Ok so here is the new Privacy panel that has a slider to make it retractable. plus I create a material preset to hide the front bars on the MedBed
This is great but it would need to block the view of someone standing nearby and be slightly more opaque. It needs JUST enough Translucnency to allow some light through but NOT enough to see shapes or form on the other side. You may need also to allow more space to either side for medical droids and equipment . If the screen began where to other ended for the next bed, that would work. A physician should be able to move about in the field without breaching it. :)
As a technical note, one easy way to do this with simple planes is to use Refraction and refraction roughness (make sure 'share glossy' is off).
Basically, refraction roughness creates a blurring effect but still does a great job letting in some amount of light or impression of shadow.
This man is a genius. QUICK EVERYONE! THROW MONEY AT HIM! :)
Well, if you must...
Hahaha. thanks you both. Yes I will make the change. :D Very good points. :)
Something like this? I think it is big enough now to be a good privacy place and enough room to work in.
I see the medbay and engine room were released today but not the quarters or hallway. Will they be coming later?
