That orange Harley is based on Billiy's bike from Easy rider.. Ran these up in 2020. and notice the small black triangle on the transmission - that's an error in the conversion from d-EASM to STL..
That particular model was done up in Solidworks by Terry Stonehocker over at Grabcad in November 2012 - I was lucky enough to have him convert it to an .stl format.. He has done quite a few decent bike models, including the Captain America bike from Easy Rider.. and there's an error in the original that I had to correct in my final version (the error is visible in these renders). The clutch cable does not go all the way down to the mousetrap on the left hand side.. (there should be a cable that goes from the left handlebar lever to the top of the spring assembly on the left hand side of the frame.. In the real thing those could be a real pain to adjust, especially if the spring levers slipped and caught your finger)
it took a long time to get a cable in DAZ that fit..
Since we are on the subject of bikes, I want to share with you something. I have been here at Daz for many many years. I go way back to the beginning of the Daz program. My mentors were "The Ness" and our leader Richard Haseltine who helped me and picked me up whenever I fell down. I have met many great 3D artists here in that time period. One of them was the great "Catermaran" who was a legend in bike creating and building. Some of you may remember him. He passed away many years ago, but his work was and still is the tops in modeling bikes. One day he told me he did all of his modeling with a CAD program and said that it was the best and I should look into it. So he gave me a site to go visit and see some of the models. When I went there, I came across this bike. It was so stunning and realistic looking that it just about brought tears to my eyes. How could something GC look so real. The detail is amazing. Catermaran verified that this bike was a CAD model. I still have it and it still gives me chills to look at it. It is "ever inspirational" to all bike modelers. I will share it with you all now. Not sure what kind of bike it is but here it is. ( CLICK THE ATTACHMENT PHOTO AT THE BOTTOM TO SEE IT FULL SIZE.)Enjoy!
OK.. turns out it is a Terry model, it started out as a Terry model, but kitbashed some parts (tank and rear wheels) from an old poser set (Billy custom bike series) and the exhaust and some other details from another Terry bike.. Orginal Terry model was a STEP file.
I found this amazing free model and had to do some renders with it.This work is based on "Dodge B-Series Pickup 1953 Halloween Special" (sketchfab.com/3d-models/dodge-…) by Alex.Ka. (sketchfab.com/Alex.Ka.) licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND-4.0 (creativecommons.org/licenses/b…). I had to make a couple of minor changes in the uv and added rim lights.

I just got this one myself. It is based on the original Dodge B which has a few different holiday versions. I have the Christmas one also but could not get the textures to work on the body writing, so I had to just go with what I could.
I am not sure who submitted this render but I really like this car and really I want it badly. Maybe a link to it with an IM or email it to me at [email protected]. It would be greatly appreciated. This is my kind of car.
That's one of mine... Let me see if I still have it... (this render is over 2 years old), I believe it was a freebie it may or may not be still around. There's also a lot of kitbashing in there if I remember rightly..
EDIT - it was a user built mod for GTA IV - I'll have to find it agaoin and see if it had a CC copyright that allows for re-distribution..
This is for some of you that did not know that Chevrolet made a Nomad wagon in 1958. Most believe they stopped in 1957, they did not. Here is a nice one by me...lol.
My favorite muscle car of all. 1967 Chevelle SS396, FOUR SPEED. Just can't get enough of a midnight blue one like my friend had in high school. Fastest take off car I ever rode in. I swallowed my gum...hahahah.
Here are a few more I converted today from FBX files. 1969Dodge Charger with the Dodge green. I had to create the color since I do not have a shader that green color.
I have had this truck for a long time. But it got all messed up and I lost three tires and the passenger door. So I duplicated the Driver door node and I reversed the X scaler to -100 and it flipped to fit. Then I just duplicated the tire node and now it is fixed. I love this truck. 1959 Chevy Apache.

Here's the model with the corrected cable..
and here's a kitbashed version, using that bike as a base model..and adding bits from one of Terry's other models..
again using Terry's models, my favourite kitbash version..
Fine looking bikes
...love that last one.
I"m thinking of using a digital watermark on all my images from now on..
Another of Terry's Harleys models - 1952 FL
Lamborghini Aventador Sport
Love the colour!
Purple! Cool car, too.

Same here
Thanks! The purple is from NVIDIA vMaterials (1.7.0) Effect Pigment Paint - Deep Purple (MDL).
I wanted to use Dimension Theory"s Anodized - Custom Shader and Preset Suite for Iray but I couldn't get it to work in Daz 4.20
Could this be one of Terry's?
No , but its one of my renders, so let me dig up the souce..its not a Terry model. stay tuned..
