Looking good Alessandro!..Very nice work!
This looks like it fixes at least one of the major problems with the existing DAZ Big Cat - it has much more realistic looking paws. I'd be interested to see an open mouth shot, since a very poor mouth interior is the other major problem with the DBC.
An excellent job.
Cheers,
Alex.
There are a couple of good open mouth promos on the product page.
I've just spotted them, thanks. The tongue is definitely a major improvement on the one in the DBC.
Cheers,
Alex.
Your inclusion of Felidae in the product name forces me to ask which other felidae we can hope to see from you.
THIS product is fantastic....
Ooh, nice!
Thank you Stefan, didn't see you in a while, I'm glad to see you around again!
Hi Alex, I made this quickie to show you a bit of the mouth detail. It could be improved for sure, but I'd say it's overall decent. There are also morphs to make teeth and the whole body slightly asymmetric, and to extend the tongue. Cheers
If I continue working, I think after the lion cub I will make the lynx, cheetah and perhaps the snow leopard.
A few quick renders of Alessandro's new kitten.

Great renders Alex, I like especially the second. Are these Catalyzer ones?
Thanks for your support. You are not alone, the second one has already been favourited on Deviantart. Personally, I prefer the first and third, I think the lighting is the best on these. Yes, they were done with the catalyzer.
Cheers,
Alex.
How is catalyzer working in DS 4.12? Any improvements?
Personally I am looking forward to the dForce version.
4.12 is IMO extremely fast. Above image was rendered in 2 hours. With an Gtx 1070. In 4.10 it would be about 4 hour's.
Ok, thanks for that information.
Absolutely gorgeous work Alessandro, Loving everything about this new lion.
I have a question on how we can change the fur color. I was trying to create a white lion and In your other Catalyzer animals I just change the skin color and the hair color changes. Is there something different about this hair that I need to do to change the mane color?
Great renders Joe, I'm glad you like it. With the Catalyzer it's pretty easy, you just use the Diffuse Overlay: pick a color, and how much to apply. See attached screenshot... And of course if you like you can also desaturate the model texture to make it white or greyish (whixh I didn't in this case). Hope it helps.
Thank you Alessandro, that worked great
Amazing product well done! Just doing a test animation using dforce (image series), each frame is taking quite a while to load the base jpg's - once loaded the frame renders in seconds. I'm asumming this is because they are very hi-res or is there a setting I may be missing?
Actually scratch that (pun intended). Going quite fast now, was just first 5 or so frames that seemed a little slow.
This was the result of a very fast test render - 18mins @ 1080p. Had to do a quick bit of learning for dforce!
In my cart. I've been tempted by the Hivewire beast, but it seemed to involve buying a few products. So this scratches an itch.
He's beautiful AM so happy to have him. I would love to see more wild cats from you especially a cheetah. :)
I'm glad you like it, and yes more cats will come. Next ones will be the smilodon and the lion cub, followed by lot more (also domestic cat at some point). Teaser attached...
Wow, he is gorgeos also and cub is cute! You are very talented AM. Looking forward to all of them. :)
I can't wait to get my hands on these guys. And I'm a dog person!
Cheers,
Alex.
Oh wow...I'm gonna start warming up my credit card right now....

Very nice work on this lion, but I do have a question on the look of the teeth, why do the teeth look like an hexagon? Is there a way to fix them? Thanks and keep up the great work.
