I am waiting for Felidae cub and Smilodon cub !
Hello Alessandro
had some fun with Smilodon and doing a Vallejo tribute (let's use confinement to do some pictures !) . Thanks for this amazing product.
Two questions, may be you know the answer:
Take care !
Hi smaker1, really a great render! About your questions... the registration issue, are you perhaps switching network devices, like I don't know, you have a usb wireless adapter that you plug out and back into a different usb port? Or changes to your computer configuration? About exporting to alembic, you could try first generating the OBJ (you can do that from LAMH itself), and then export the whole geometry (so the base figure and the generated hair strands) to alembic. Even if, not being used for animation (right?) why not using OBJ format directly?
Well, the lion cub it's almost there.. and it's the cutest critter ever...
@Alessandro Mastronardi "Well, the lion cub it's almost there.. and it's the cutest critter ever..."
That's an understatement. Insta-Buy!
Wow!
Thanks
may be because I sometimes plug external drives with usb port . That must explain when sometimes I need registration and sometimes not. I hope that the number of registration is not limited if there are no other solution.
I use mainly obj for export and fiber hair with LAMH (used with this render) . But I wanted to try with the dforce version of Smilodeon to see the difference with LAMH version. How can I export the hair in this case ? I was thinking that it's strand hair and the only way to export is abc. May be I'm wrong and yes I'm only doing still render.
Too cute the little cub !
For LAMH activation there are no limits of activations that you can submit, so don't worry about that. About exporting dForce hair (if I understood correctly), I don't think it's possible...
*squeeeeeee!!!*
Awesome!! Can't wait!!!!
That is swoon-worthy if ever something was. Now I almost want you to do the cubs of any animal before the adults...
SQUEEE!
Hello Alessandro
I had some success with obj export but the size of the generated file is too heavy (7 gig!) So yes: the only option at this moment is the LAMH fiberhair
Thanks (and please continue to make LAMH presets :-) !!)
This cub has to be the cutest thing ever.
Too bad I spent almost all of my credit yesterday. Didn't expect the cub to be released today :(.
On your YouTube channel there a request for help when the mane doesn't appear. Did this ever get fixed? I have the same problem.
Please email me with a screenshot of your viewport (I want to see if the lion guides are visible or not) and the log files
The lion looks beautiful. At the moment I'm confused from all the products you offer or which ones I need.
Somewhere I have read that the animals looks best if they are rendered with Catalyzer but I would prefer to export the animals to Blender and there I can't use LAMH or Catalyzer. I have a question about the LAMH 2 Iray Catalyzer too. From the name it sounds like an addon to the LAMH product but there isn't a passage with required products.
Have you rendered by chance the lion in normal, with dforce Addon, LAMH and Catalyzer? It would be really helpful to see comparison renders where the lighting and pose is the same. Would love to see such comparison for the brown bear and fox too.
Thanks for your help.
Hi, initially came LAMH, which renders in 3Delight render engine. Then I made the Catalyzer plugin (an extension of LAMH) which renders in Iray. At last came DAZ dForce which is integrated in Studio. My latest models include all the 3 types so that the user can decide which one he/she prefers. Catalyzer and dForce are pretty much comparable in quality terms. Of course dForce is integrated so most folks seem to prefer that.
The lion model here has Catalyzer renders: https://www.daz3d.com/felidae-by-am--lion , and one LAMH render (https://gcdn.daz3d.com/p/63557/i/felidae-by-am--lion-10-daz3d.jpg).
Lion dforce renders are here: https://www.daz3d.com/felidae-by-am--lion--dforce-addon
Brown bear Catalyzer renders here: https://www.daz3d.com/brown-bear-by-am
Brown bear dForce renders here: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-hair-for-brown-bear-by-am
Hope this helps!
