...yeah, everything today is slap it up as fast and cheap as possible.
It takes a very skilled hand, in RL or 3D modelling to create such lovely architectural wonders. Stefan is by far the best as he puts so much detail into his buildings which makes them well worth the price.
Have to wishlist these for now until I have a more steady cash flow.
...here's a cool CG animated short where that appears to have happened.

wow.. that is fantastic.
Made with what program ????
Must have taken months to make that.. fantastic

What a great short movie...brilliant
years :) do you know the movie "rosa" this movie was made as I know over one year by one single person
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG11zhX6_jo
did not know it.
looks like a V4 .. amazing.. did they do this with DAZ or Poser ?
...Modo and Lightwave.
I do not know (can`t recall) but I think it is shown in the credits at the end of the movie. The moviemaker uses several things from daz so it is possible that it is v4 and m4 :) and I guess some sequences were made with daz but do not nail me on that issue.
ups, that clip has no credits :) just have watched the end. But there must be a clip at youtube with credits I know there is one, have seen it.
Software used for the Movie "Rosa"
quote:
"The equipment was nothing fancy, I used my computer and software I already had. For the CG, I used a combination of Blender and Daz Studio. The renders were heavily post-produced to achieve the look I wanted. I used my experience as an illustrator to work every shot like a painting with lots of layers and details. It was hard work but ultimately very rewarding. Hardware was an old 2003 iMac that died during the process and was replaced by a Mac Pro during the production."
Jesús Orellana

but he is absolutely amazing !!! I hope he makes more !
well I don`t know, as I know he was a student at the time he made this movie
...just went back and here are the full design and software credits for Ruin:

(so it isn't V4)
Drone Concept Design: Mark Molnar
Modelled and rendered in: MODO
Animated in: Lightwave
Composited in: After Effects (10)
Edited in: Premiere
Also used :
Rhiggit Pro (Character rigging software for Lightwave)
Ivy Generator (version not specified) freeware ivy generator originally developed by Thomas Luft
Jawset Turbulence FD (voxel grid particle effects generator)
Red Giant (software for film making and motion graphics)
CG-Textures.com (a site for royalty free 3D Graphic textured)
FX Elements.com (a site for royalty free stock FX footage)
no... the ruin figure was no V4, but the rose lady seems to be.
I am amazed about the worlds they created.
I made this tonight with (mostly) Stonemason buildings
Urban Spawl II
Warehouse District
City Courtyard
Urban_P5
and Ab. City I and II
...when I first wrote the response didn't see the link to the other film short. I've seen that one before too. Very well done as well.
Nice scene, reminds me a bit of my old hometown of Milwaukee WI.
seems you have an eye for urban creations :)
With the material from StoneMason and others (and a bit of Poser - Primitive Props) you can do so much !
This image took a day to make, and 15 minutes to render.
Parts of the previous image have been used again, although the Canal had to be put lower, in order for the bridge to be high enough for the ship to pass :D
Looking at the posters

I think Rosa's hair is Blaine Hair

the other female hair

male hair

Now I am looking for Rosa's morph ...
the texture seems to be handpainted by Orellana ...
OK, Eyes seems to be from here:
http://www.daz3d.com/lillith-v4-combo
and maybe the base of the texture too
I love this one and the one on the next page! Is that Antfarm's train trestle from Borderline?
I finally bought the Abandoned Cities I and II because of your renders. Now I need to build something.
Use your imagination and you can create everything.. :D
The trains and tracks are of the Parksite series.... although I also used StoneMason Warehouse disctrict (it has small train-tracks)
and AntFarm Borderline.
There is no way that my PC can render this at once, so you first create parts of town on the background and on the left and by partial renders (Poser 9) you render bit after bit while you remove what you already rendered and add new material in the middle and foreground. That is what makes it a long proces (a day). It is like creating a puzzle.
You have what you want in mind, but you do not see the end result until after the last render.
The first render is added here. It has no skyscrapers in the background yet and only the left has all the details. The right and foreground still have to be "filled".
you need this one by pedatron

I do not know why there is only one image...the whole set is much larger it includes also this (no render just a screenshot) and has also seperate probs
Greetings,
A few store items lost nearly all their promo images in the store changeover. (Most didn't, just a few did.) One of those was Stonemason's Urban Sprawl 2, which was super-frustrating. I had to hunt down someone who had done an animation of pieces of the city before I realized how big it was. A while later, I was idly browsing and realized that suddenly it had a whole wealth of promo images (I'm guessing Stonemason was wondering WTH his masterpiece wasn't selling!), and they were AMAZING.As for the Predatron City Streets, I did the same thing you did, made my 'own promo' for it: http://cypherfox.deviantart.com/art/Cthulhu-vs-Predatron-430918800

for urban city sprawl 2 - the big city I have some promos :)
and some renders with people :) most of these renders are old ones, so the qualitiy is not like the qualitiy of today (knowledge issues)
