[RELEASED] Chess Geografts for Genesis 8 (male and female)[Commercial] - new PA
Edit: Out now! https://www.daz3d.com/chess-for-genesis-8
Edit 2: Moved to the Commons temporarily (wouldn't want anyone to miss it )
Hi everyone,
I've been around the Daz forums for years but now I'm a PA too! My first product: "Chess for Genesis 8" is through QA so just waiting on when Daz are ready to release it.
Included are geografts and preloads to turn Genesis 8 male and female into chess pieces. Also included are shader presets to help integrate other content (such as clothes and props) as well as a solo base to stand someone/something else on if you like. I've also added poses to neutralise the lower body (so if you apply a full-body pose that makes the bottom half go off in the wrong direction, you can reset the lower half to place your piece down on the (included) board again (or elsewhere). Most figure morphs will combine with this set with no adjustment needed
Below are some example pics of the new set

So cool!
These look awesome for 3d printing!
Congrats!
Thanks all
Yeah - you could make a cool custom chess/game set (might get pricey though with 32 figures )
It will be a unique piece set! Worth every penny.
well done
Thanks :)
Aaaand this is out now! https://www.daz3d.com/chess-for-genesis-8
Congrats on becoming a PA here SW :)
Thanks Leana :)
Wooo whoo its out .... into my cart it goes
Thanks for the support
Nicely done, great concept. Congrats.
YAY!
the wait was totally worth it! :DDDDD
this came out awesome, what a treat for your 1st product! welcome as a new PA ^^
EDIT: wow.. and a G8MALE only preload too, you're a-ma-zing :)))))))
Even if I can't play chess, this product has sooo much potential!
So much fun..
I like this set very much.
Thanks all - love the renders Artini, thanks for sharing (the first looks a little bright - in brighter/outdoor lights I'd use the 'reduce glossy' materials in the materials folder (or just go into the surfaces tab and knock it down manually to whatever works - perfect lighting on the 2nd )
Yeah, I like to support the males too where I can and I figured for this set people might want one or the other or both so I tried my best to include all the options
Thanks again everyone
@Silent Winter Congratulations my friend on finally becoming a Pa & a awesome looking set for a first release.
Thanks Ivy :)
I love this! I've had so many ideas. It's on my wishlist for now though, as my computer is at the repair shop. But, as soon as I get it back, I'll be buying this ^^
Congratulations on becoming a PA!
When i first read this title, i read it as CHEST geocrafts. I was thinking, what in the name of...? then i saw the picture and re-read the title. durp
cool idea though
Thanks N_R Arts :)
LOL
Thanks :)
This is pretty cool, and unique. I don't play chess nor can I really think of what I would do with it...yet I still want it, LOL. That's just how cool this thing is.
That somebody could potentially create their own custom 3D printed chess set with this is even more amazing. That might be a super niche use case, but I can imagine that the people who would want this would be extremely happy. People who are really into chess might try out Daz just for that one purpose!
There is a ton of potential with this product.
^Thanks outrider42 :)
yeah - I think Daz need to market to the chess-clubs too now ;)
Perfect for Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There-inspired renders. Now I just need a way to do card-people for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland stuff.
when you really think of it there are quite a few unique concepts could comeup with for the various pieces with the various characters and creatues in the daz store
Good thinking - I'm sure I've seen an Alice card-people product before but it was a while back and I can't seem to find it now nor remember if it was a costume or what. Sadly I don't have the time to tackle this at the moment.
Yep - and the grafts and shaders will work with (almost) any morphs (unless the creatue already has a graft in that area). I was thinking of using the Centaur as a knight piece (using the shaders on the body and the Knight head-graft) - but anything goes really.
