Thanks now I will stop looking for it in the smart content.
Skin Builder is showing in Smart Content. Geisha Builder isn't.

After finally finding Skin Builder in BF2 Materials folder in People, there's a question I have.
I have Genesis loaded in the scene (and it's default gray). I load up a skin but all it does is change how shiny Genesis is. I thought this product came with different colored skin textures?!
What am I doing wrong?
If I redo v4 if to be the same as v5 would this work on her?
You typed BF2, I'm assuming that is a typo and an abbreviation for Genesis 2 Female. Since you say you have Genesis loaded, then the scripts in Genesis 2 Female will not work with Genesis. You will need to load Genesis 2 Female, have her selected, then double click on the !Skin Builder script. Or run the scripts found in the People/Genesis/Materials/Skin Bulder folder.
Note when the !Skin Builder scripts opens... By default, if you just press the "Accept" button, nothing will happen. You have to click on the boxes to left of the the titles "Select The Skin", and/or Adjust Nipples Overlay for the script to apply the settings.
If you mean using Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 Female with a V4 morph, then yes. This uses the V5 UV Mapping for texture, and does not care what the morph is.
So, I've been playing around with this for a day or two now, and getting nice results with it. I have noticed, however, that loading a materials preset that was created with Skin Builder takes a *very* long time. The reason for this is that DAZ Studio is doing alpha blends of multiple large image maps on the fly, every time you load these materials, or load a scene created where these materials have been applied. This composition-on-the-fly chews up a lot of time.
I was able, through some Photoshop work, to take the TIFF files that DAZ Studio generates in its cache after processing the materials, and boil the maps for my current project down to a minimal composite set, which I then moved to a permanent location in my texture library. I was then able to apply these maps to the various surface template groups in DAZ Studio, and save out the result as a new materials preset. This one loads relatively quickly, because it doesn't have to manipulate the file data so much. Is there some clever way to automate the composition process using DS?
As a suggestion for a minor performance enhancement: Instead of generating large monochromatic image maps for nails when opacity is 100%, it should be sufficient to set a numeric RGB value in the Diffuse channel and not use an image map at all in that case.
Note: this will only work on/in your personal DAZ Studio installation, and is not transferable to other computers or users
When you have everything setup for your character texture, you can use File -> Save as -> Material(s) Preset. This will move the .tif files to your DS data folder to be used by the materials .duf file. After you have saved the Material Preset, then load that preset back to your character before saving your scene. Please remember, these .tif files are not to be shared with others, they are for your personal use for final renders.

BF2 isn't a typo. It refers to Basic Female 2 which is what Genesis 2 is.
Thanks for the tip, I'll try it out. :)
If the scripts won't work for Genesis then how come this product is for Genesis and BF2? The product even says so.

There are folders in both People/Genesis/Materials/ and People/Genesis 2 Female/Materials for Skin Builder.
If you are working with Genesis (and also have Victoria 5), then you need to be sure you are using the scripts found in People/Genesis/Materials/Skin Builder.
If you are using Genesis 2 Female (which includes the Victoria 5 UV Mapping), then you need to be sure you are using the scripts found in People/Genesis 2 Female/Materials/Skin Builder.

*Facepalms* I am such an idiot. Ok, now I am loading in the Genesis folder...
I now have additional problems.
1. Is there any way I can cut back on this products long loading times? No matter which option I pick, it takes forever to load. Worse, if I pick the Eyebrow option, after it loads the eyebrow, I can't do anything within D/S, not a thing.
2. I click on Skin Builder and after waiting a while, I see the skin on Genesis. Unfortunately, it doesn't want to render it when I try to do even spot renders.
I can't do a screenshot, so I'll describe it as best I can.
Optimizing Images 1/70.
Then as it loads, the numbers are always decreasing! (They should increase not decrease) Example: Optimizing Images -95/70.
I recognize this problem and I know my render will never come. Help please.
I had this problem. Was when the tifs kept cycling due to that windows update problem. Do you have auto texture refresh unchecked? Also what version of Daz are you running? Also try closing DAZ, clear the cache and try again. For me, setting auto texture refresh to off worked, since I have not yet installed the latest beta that addresses the issue.
I have no idea how to check the Auto Texture Refresh or where to find it. Where do I find it?
The version of D/S I am using is: DAZ Studio 4.6.1.39, Win64
Select figure, then go to surface tab, click on the arrow and four line icon to bring up the properties, and it is located under refresh images with the two spinning arrows..It is called automatically refresh images. Make sure it is unchecked.
Thanks, Zev0! That worked! Brilliant product, I love it. It's money well spent. ;)
And thanks DraagonStorm for the help too. :)
You're welcome. Glad you got it sorted, and thanks for the kind words:)
I got the pro version but the base version is on sale. Does the pro version include everything he base version have?
Yes, it does. :)
Yes, it does. :)
So no need to buy the base version then. Thanks!
No you don't. The basic version only contains the basic scripts. The Pro version contains all the extra scripts such as Eyebuilder and Make Pp builder etc. On the first promo of each is a list of the scripts each version contains:)
Made this one for the PC weekly contest, wanted to share it here too :) my first render with the Skinbuilder, it's a great product Zev and Draagon !

Is the tanline tool supposed to affect the upper lip and philtrum?
I have tried it with a V5 default texture and a V6 texture, with the same effect.
I also will get white rectangular outlines along the inside of the thighs just below the juncture with the groin, as an extension of the normal "whjite" outline.
I am probably doing something wrong.
Is there a default test I can do to check this?
Thanks
Can you post a screenshot of the problem you are having? It is hard to see without an example. Thanks.
I'll try. Although I'll have to figure out how to do the one of the crotch area without offending the TOS.
Edit:
Before I do that, can I use V6 Anna texture, or is that a problem? Does it have to be an actual V5 texture?
I use Genesis G2 female mostly.
OK - stupid me doesn't know how to "save screen".
Mind helping?
Could be wrong but it sounds like what is causing the problem is that you are using the product with a texture using V6 UVs, and the script is working in V5, which will look off, especially on the face.
This is a default render - V6 Anna default skin, no adjustments.
Upper lip has "tan line"
