What a great there and already excellent entries. I particularly like Slepalex still life image.

Here’s my first: “The Daylillie Patch”.

Gen 2 female, output and hair from DAZ3D. Foliage by Stonemason and flowers by Lisa’s Botanacals.

    Leopards from HiveWire3D.

Posed inDS 4.6. Staged and rendered in Bryce 7.1 Pro.

Illuminated by the Bryce sun and Use Sky IBL. Rendered at 64 RPP - about 2.5 hours.

Good luck to all participants and thanks for taking a look!

Kerya - beautifully done. That's a very old Bryce 5 tutorial - actually by David Brinnen in June 2005 and I had made it into a HTML web page and a PDF at the time. Though I deleted the HTML page meanwhile, the PDF is still available along with other tutorials of that time on my website: Raytracing > Tutorials > Bryce.

  • @ Tim82: Spring Flowers - Simply wonderful work. This light, the DOF - simply perfect.

@ Horo: Flowers in Pot - the idea with the metaballs is great. Very good work.

    @akmerlow: Thank you very much.

@ Ed3d: It should be an entry. Very nice.

@ Yellow Pen: Red Flowers - Very nice little flower island.
Waterlilies - A fairytale scene. I like it.

@ Rieke77: Hello Rieke, nice to see you here in the contest. Thanks for your nice comment. My little garden is a very cute job. Very well done.

@Slepalex: Still life with reflection - wonderful. Like a painting.

@adbc: Early spring - Really a nice place. Everything seems so peaceful.

@Hansmar: Flower abstract - brilliant experiment. Looks great.

@Dan Whiteside: The Daylillie Patch - incredibly detailed scene. The light is fantastic.

@Kerya: Tillandsia - crazy flower, but very nicely brought into the picture.

Slepalex - #3 is a lovely still life - I particularly like the textures on your fruit, but the whole thing is great.

abdc - Early Spring is very pretty, I like the colours and the background terrain.

Hansmar - your Flower Abstract is very striking, lovely colours and an interesting idea too.

Dan Whiteside - Daylily Patch is very impressive, so much in there! Nice lighting/shadows too.

Kerya - also a very striking image, nicely lit.

Horo, Tim82, adbc, Yellow Pen, mermaid010, Rieke77, drachenlords, MelanieL: Thanks very much

Dan Whiteside: Fantastic scene and very beautifully rendered.

Kerya: Nice work, looks like a beautiful painting

Drachenlords: Wonderful vase of flowers and very nice use of DOF

    My second entry: Flower girl.

I made the flowery person by instancing lots of red, white and yellow flowers onto a girl and then deleted the girl. I added another girl, a vase with one flower and a number of mirrors.

    Thanks everybody!

I love Tillandsias - I've got some that are living with me since thirty years. One of them is blooming every other year or so. Always a worry: will it make a child after blooming? They are dying after blooming ... Up to now (knock on wood) it always created a child.

Things you never wanted to know about Tillandsias ... LOL

I am in awe of everybody's renders, I just don't have the time to comment on each one - sorry!
