Great one Tarina Kivi, quite a dangerous sport indeed ;-)
.
Wow, that is an impressive render! I especially love the extra touches, like the way you built up the skyline , the smoke from the chimney, and the birds. It's great to see some more people joining in on the fun. I keep looking for the bell flower, because I don't know what that is. Is it the red item on the building in the foreground? That looks like it could be a flower.
.
Thanks for the kind words Barbult. I'm glad I finally had some time to join in on the fun. : )
Yeah, the red thing is the flower. I placed more of them at first but then decided that just one would be enough and maybe look better than a whole bunch of them. You know... ...a single flower someone placed at the feet of one of those mysterious, beautiful women of stone, guarding in never-ending silence the top of that very ornate, ancient building that stands at the heart of the city... or something like that. =P I think it is more clear what it is when you zoom in on the image. I hope it is enough to count as a pulled item. The red colour kind of draws your eyes to it so I thought that it would be enough... It's one of Lisa's Botanicals and is no longer sold here at DAZ. It was a PC item at the time I bought it.
Thanks for the explanation. Sounds good to me. Did you add those stone women statues? They blended in so well and looked so organic, that I didn't even notice at first. If you made those, my admiration has gone to shock and awe levels. Where have you been hiding? More! More! More!
.
Really good work! I have the DT Urban Construct (I think it is called) with the projection mapping, but not shades of life.

Some great stuff so far in the RRRR, as usual. :) Some comments on the renders on the first page of the entries thread:
Totte, Hand Grenade Bowling: love the explosion effect and the concept. Definitely can see why this one might have been "refused" but the committee!
Luci45, Mountain Furniture Throwing: combines the venerable traditions of mountain sports and throwing objects (discus, shotput, etc.). Not sure about the aerodynamics of some of those projectiles, though...
Luci45, Pole Vaulting Cowboy Style: LOL, that's all I have to say. That, and "great render!"
Barbult, Skating Buffalo Polo: I'd like to try that one...or maybe just watch it. Probably best to do so from a comfortable distance, just in case. Love the exhalation steam, nice touch.
Totte, Car Figure Slalom: dangerous and bizarre sport, great lighting, nice vivid colors. Excellent all around!
Diomede64, Dodge Golf: Looks like fun! Fun for the character in the foreground at least...! Golf meets dodgeball with some paintball influence too.
Luci45, Train Laser Tag: Love the energy and dynamism of this one! Very cool.
Totte, Granny Pushing Drone Skeet Shooting: Get 'em, Grannies! So funny...nice outfits too!
Gopherus, Sadie Hawkins Day Whack-A-Cowboy: Nice details on this...the expressions, the ceremony going on in the background, etc.
Gopherus, The Origins of Rattlesnake Golf: Nice execution on the golfing scene, and I like the poses of the animals too (not sure who is angrier, the bird or the snake, but I wouldn't want to be that "golfer!")
Luci45, Virtual Multilayer Chess: really just an awesome render, even out of the context of the RRRR contest. Well done!
MelanieL, Parrotry: Nice work with all the oldie-but-goodie characters. I also like the juxtaposition of the serious expressions with the flamboyant parrots
Gopherus, Pirates Monopoly: Very funny, and nice work with all the signs!
MelanieL, Big Game Racing: Great one, especially the panther's attack, the spectators, and the two fallen jockeys!

My first thought was pogo on this one, and once I had that thought I could not get off of it. So this is probably like the fifth idea I tried to work with and, of course, I made it a hard one to do. Just how does one make what looks like pieces of balloons on the floor, especially over a large floor area? Anyhow, letting this one go so I can move on to something else.
---
Grab a paint filled balloon, bop 'em, and go, all on a pogo. (pronunciation: bop o go)
The object of the game is to hit your opponents as many times as necessary to catch them off balance and knock them off their pogo mounts. Each bobbler bounces around the ring, locating one of their balloon handlers for the hand off and then off to bop their next target. The balloons hold a specialty paint that only sticks to the bobblers and their pogo mounts.
Just a moment folks. It appears that interference has been called. We have a fan pogo'ing out onto the court. And, it seems that the fan has taken down Lilac Lady. Green Biohazard is on the run, trying to clear the area before the referee can assign any other penalties to her team. It only takes moments...
bounce around on pogos
balloons full of oh no's
bop 'em, bop 'em
we all fall down
(to tune of Ring Around the Rosie)
Zawarkal- adorable!
The only thing I can think of for popped balloons might have been shards from pottery, embedded into the ground plane to hide the sharp edges a bit (but leaving some) and then D-forming perhaps. But what a task! And definitely not for doing a large area. I like what you did instead- pogo fun! Love your colors as usual. :)
BTW, surfing back a few pages, trying to catch up- Barbult, love the arm wrestling- nice lighting and poses are quite fun- catches the energy quite nicely! And Tarina Kivi- same thing noted- I like the differential of colors between the foreground where the action is, and the fade away of the background so the energy stays at the forefront of the scene. Bareback riding just got adventurous! (I'll stick with my horse.)
This is really crazy, love it!
Great one !
Thank you Novica. Shards could work, but I don't think I have any of those either. What I did do was to use Evilinnocence's Light Storm flattened and stretched somewhat. But, yes I agree something should have been sticking up a little more.
Great one !
Thanks Totte!
Thanks, Tarina Kivi and Scott-Livingston.
Tarina Kivi #1 I love this one for so many things, especaill the atmosphere you have created with the pigeons, light, haze, smoke and background buildings. Bareback wild dragon riding in underware is wonderfully wacky and the poses are so fun. Great job!!!!!!!!!
barbult#3 LOL More cowboys! your renders always have so many cool details. I love the poses, expressions and the matching nailpolish.
Zawarkal#1 What can I say? It was worth waiting for! You are a true daughter of circusdom! Awesomely entertaining in your special way. My new desktop picture- I want to look at this one for a while. :wow:
Thank you Luci45! Glad you like it. I had a rough day today. This helped to bring me a smile. Thanks.
With less than a minute to go
and the final level in sight,
she made a rookie mistake ...
She dropped ... the watermelon.
Fruits and Ladders:
a lot like life.
Great one Ippo, I can see you've embraced the madness of RRRR!
Ippotamus- LOVE that pun!!!! Very, very clever. And the underwear wasn't so bad, was it? Really like the board game in the background.

Be sure to click and enlarge and click again, large render. And the folks who featured me got that honor in return. :) They are my Hall of Flamers! The sign on the back wall, right, will tell you the rules.
..y'know, I wouldn't be at all surprised if a group of totally pissed college student's hadn't tried that for real.
I've seen some pretty strange drunken games in my days.
LOL! They'd better have sci-fi wine bottles of the future if they're going to try it!
I didn't want to do a double post, so here's the link to the breakdown of what character used what, over in the Art Studio thread, and the links to the products. (It's also a huge post with 44 products.)
