    Kentrosaurus Racing
    tag:luci45#6
The Kentrosaurus was a slow moving creature with sharp plates along its spine, not the best kind of racing steed. It was all they had at the time though, so humans and goblins mounted up, using trained ducks to aggravate the lethargic beasts into chasing them. The human males discovered that wearing poofy pants made the ride tolerable. The goblins didn't care much about comfort or maybe they thought poofy pants were for sissies.

Jewels of Architecture: Volume 2 (pattern on poofy pants)
    Kentrosaurus
    Mallard (Smith Micro)
    Sushi Time Two (Kentrosaurus necklaces)

    Animal Husbandry
After his beloved Queen Lisa disappeared from the realm, King Jack had a giant oak tree in the forest carved in her likeness. Several young maidens of the DAZ realm sought to win the heart of King Jack. The competition for his love was cut throat. (Hmmm.... is that what happened to Queen Lisa? But we digress...) King Jack arranged a game of Animal Husbandry to sort the worthy from the unworthy.

Animal Husbandry (Capture Animals = Capture a Husband)
    These are the rules:
    1) Contestants pair up by random draw.
    2) Each contestant must hang her bucket from an arm of the Lisa statue.
    3) The first contestant to fill her bucket with five (5) of her assigned forest animal moves on to the next round.
    4) Escaped animals do not count toward the required animal total. All five must be in the bucket simultaneously.
    5) Formal attire is required for all contestants; Any contestant showing up in skimpwear will be immediately disqualified.

Round 1 - Jen with squirrels vs. Laurie with Doves

    1113 Cyclorama Woodland Coast Backgrounds
790 Mystical Sorceress Poses for V4 (on 2 women and statue)
775 Amoei (texture on two women's clothing)
1127 Portrait Studio Props (root-like base of statue is draped column. King Jack is sitting on draped throne)

    Also Used:
    Michael 4
    Jerome for M4
Fairytale Prince for M4 and H4
Fairytale Prince for M4 and H4 King Expansion
    Advanced Ambient, Distant, and Spotlight
Heart of the Matter (ground and tree)
Nature - Plants Pack 1 (grass)
    DAZ Squirrel
    Songbird Remix Second Edition
    Lisa's Botanicals Globe thistle
    Lisa's Botanicals Coleus
    Victoria 4.2
Juggling Act V4 (top on statue for modesty)
    Marielle Hair
    Ranger Hair
3 Raven Court Expansion 1 (bucket)
Pimp My Prop (wood and metal texturs on one bucket)
Shades of Life - Urban Construct (Wood texture on statue)
Red velvet shader (from Supersuit I think)
Motion Blur on escaping squirrel and dove

Edited to add: Yes, the statue idea with the shades of life is a blatant rip off from Tarina Kivi's Bareback Wild Dragon Riding. I was so impressed, I had to try it myself.

    Thanks, Totte and Novica!
Another way-too-strange sport, Totte! I love it. Great contest this month for sure!
LOL, diomede64, nice to see another addict! %-P
barbult, that is so deranged! Great scene. King Jack looks a bit, hmmm, sceptical about these ladies. Queen Lisa may be hard to replace. :)

    My last pull:

Wow! I ve missed a lot!! Thanks Luci, Tarina Kivi and Scott for your comments!

Barbult #2 Hope they ve lathered up really well. And have their coaches waiting for them at the bottom! This is one i d like to watch all bundled up with some hot chocolate!
#3 LOL! for a million dollars i d be surprised if Caroline isn t playing footsey with Cord below the camera.
#4 Another great one! Sounds like a truth or dare. And someone should have warned Laurie not to open her mouth when looking up at doves.

Diomede #2 Looks like someone is waiting for the losers of the contest. And i hope they have enough patience for the results and don t take a bite out of the winners by mistake. Another good one!
#3 Nice contest idea! I m thinking that one dragon wing will go a long way.

Ippotamus #1 I d watch that game any day! Sort of like You Want To Be A Ninja meets Rollerball!!

Jaderail #1 I have heard of a spud gun and any sport that goes boom and keeps the sponsor happy.... Good one Jaderail!

Luci45 #5 Is this how the silver surfer fot his start? Another X sport! The poor dudes got a tiger by the tail! and can t let go! Great idea!!
#6 Ah! like greyhound racing only with mallards instead of the rabbit. And I hope no one is cooking a souffle. the ground must really be rocking!! Good one!!

Melanie #2 Ha! Someone must be playing Jumanji!! Think i d prefer watching from the balcony too.
Melanie #3 Great one! The merfolk must have sponsored this round. Wouldn t be surprised if the next round is fire walking. That would make it sort of an Aesops fable. And that dude in the foreground is about to pass out!!

Novica #1 Wow!! More of a challenge than the limboing they used to do on KMEX 34. What a fun bar!

Tarina Kivi #1 Great Dinosaur Riders of Pern!! This sport has very little forgiveness for the losers. Nicely done!

Totte #4 Those poor teams are going to be really beaten up. You know the angle that a mortar ball comes down at. I hope their coach doesn t insist on their diving for each ball.
#5 What a way to build up muscles... rolling barrels on a lurching deck. A real challenge! Nice one!!

Zawarkal #1 Centaurs, pogo sticks and Merry go rounds MFEO!!! (made for each other) I m rooting for the zebra! Good one!!

    Gopherus #4
    Precision Gas Passing

    pull:
    M3 base
    Workingman M4
    Antoinette Bust Set
    The Alchemists Apothecary

A sport that hopefully will never make it out of the midway. Sort of the antithesis of fire eating. The midway furnishes a person who is responsible for the ignition who has to be fast and/or short and carry a long torch. And spectators watch at their own risk.

diomede64- there's nothing like sharks to make a sport interesting! You did well with the water too- the foreground looks particularly realistic to me :) And dragon wings would probably be quite a menu item (although personally I think I'd forego them for plain ole' potato chips and hamburger.) A very clever idea!

Deck Curling could be interesting Totte- particularly when the planes gets moving!

OMGoodness Barbult- you certainly make it challenging- five animals all at the same time? Better have some tasty treats to tempt them to stay put! Very funny idea. I love that squirrel in the middle- nice touch!

And the last one by gopherus is..well, interesting! I wouldn't want to be anywhere near there when THAT sport is played. :)

I'm so out classed this round... But the Drow will not give up. Nope not gonna. Here better render settings!! Here better shaders!! Come to poppa he needs ya... badly from the looks of all the work entered so far,

Yes folks that is a very back handed complement so take it as I mean it. Way to many for me to go back and comment on them all now.

Some thoughts on the renders on Page 2 of the entry thread...

Jaderail#1 - Timed Team Indoor Vegetable Bazooka Load and BOOM: Great facial expressions! I love the blast effect too.
MelanieL#3 - Underwater Breath-Holding Quoits: Having mermaid judges is a great touch. And I love the little details, like the bubbles and the feet of the competitor who has apparently passed out or drowned!
Totte#4 - Mortar Full Contact Volleyball: Very clever use of an extremely odd collection of sets. Another sport that looks like it would be a lot more fun to watch than to play...
barbult#2 - Polar Bear Plunge-Cliff Diving Style: Great realism on the character taking the plunge. Adding a space heater was a nice idea!
Luci45#5 - The Early Days (and Final Days) of Sky Surfing: The old photo effects are really convincing. Nice work with this!
TarinaKivi#1 - Bareback Wild Dragon Riding: Really beautiful render...I can't stop looking at it! Very cool sport, too...
barbult#3 - Double Decker Arm Wrestling: Very funny! And it almost seems like something that could actually happen on a weird reality TV show...
zawarkal#01 - Bopogo: Just when I thought the RRRR couldn't get any nuttier... (note to self: there is no upper limit to RRRR nuttiness...someone will always raise the bar!) This is very cool.
Ippotamus#01 - Fruits and Ladders: Nice poses and motion blur! Great idea, too.
Novica#1 - WineWalk Limbo: Great render overall...I particularly like the expressions, the composition, and the custom signs (which may or may not have something to do with the fact that I wound up in the Hall of Flame!) and I LOVE this crazy idea.
Luci45#6 - Kentrosaurus Racing: Another top-notch render. Excellent lighting and dust effects. The ducks are pretty funny too!
Totte#5 - Deck Barrel Curling: Come on, those sweepers are just there for show, right? ;-) Nice poses and overall atmosphere.
Diomede64#2 - Pairs Figure Sharknastics: Sharks are an awesome addition to any sport (though perhaps not from the perspective of the competitors). I can see both intensity and some trepidation in the characters' poses...
Diomede64#3 - Dragon Wing Eating Contest Finals: Nice way to combine these various products. Are they begging for more wings, or asking for a favorable verdict from the judge?
barbult#4 - Animal Husbandry: Very clever use of the Portrait Studio Props. The scene fits together very nicely. Great job with the critters, too.

As far as my entry is concerned, it's really massive, it will be awesome (or at least it is in my mind!), I'm working hard on it and hope to have it done before the deadline......

I know what you mean...entry thread is full of amazing renders... Feeling a bit outclassed myself but I'm giving it my best shot anyway! And at least I'm having fun with it, which is kind of the point! :)

Hi everyone. I'm traveling for the next few days, so i won't be able to contribute any more craziness this month. I appreciate everyone who comments on the entries. :-) That's always fun to read. I gave my comments on the first bunch, but I don't think I'll be able to add to that this time. I saw lots of hilarious stuff here! And it's fun to see new participants join in.

    Urban Water Gymnastics
    Tag: luci45#7
This is some kind of weird extreme urban sport. I haven't figured out the rules yet. I wanted to do something crazier but time is running out, and a gratuitous render of hunky guys in skimp-wear seemed like the next best thing. ;-P

Great work everyone. I am rushing to try to get this last one in. Also used radiant jaguar hair, cowpoke dress for K4, cowpoke boots for K4, the sandals for V4, and Jason hair for The Freak. Everything else made in Carrara. I hope I can clean it up in time.

Wonderful concept, Totte. Everyone has been tremendously creative, and I have rediscovered some content that I forgot that I had, mostly for by looking for the random things that popped up for the contest.
