I composed this in Daz Studio, then took it into Luxrender via the Reality 2.5 plugin.

Cut for Gianni, my contribution. :)

I am looking at this. I am trying to decide if I want it or not. Does it come with any original morphs? or is it just presets?

    was wondering the same thing.

Sorry I didn't respond to these questions sooner, I was away for the weekend. :) Hope everyone had a terrific weekend too, by the way. Cut for Gianni 6 is a set of dial spun morph presets using the Gianni 6, Gianni 6 HD, and Genesis 2 Male Head and Body morphs. It does not come with new sculpted morphs/ dials/ original morphs.

With my morph products, and those I've worked on with Sickleyield you should be able to tell from what it says on the product page. For products like this one that are all one click presets, I will describe them as "dial spun morphs" and "morph presets", which means they are one click presets made using pre-existing morph dials.

In the case of products like Wondrous Creatures for G2F, where the product actually includes new morph dials in addition to the morph presets, I will describe the original morphs as "morph dials" and "sculpted morphs", which means the product also includes original morphs that were sculpted in a 3d modeling program and will appear as dials in DAZ3D's parameters tab for the figure for which they are made.

Thanks! I really like illustrating men, and so it is nice to have a new male figure like Gianni. I only hope he sells well, so we get more!

May I have a question? What hair did you use in this render for the bad guy?

Any time. =-) That hair is ZIor hair. :

When I looked at my men's hair I had difficulty finding one with wind movement sufficient to make the hair pull back from the head. Zior hair has some a morph that achieves that look.

The plugin definitely brought out the realism along with the great lighting. Classic image, especially the woman's pose and hair. Very minor thing noticed, her hand is not holding the staff, perhaps this is done on purpose, it is apparently magical.

I am hoping not....this is the first time I have snapped up a Pro bundle without any hesitation. The bundle was, in my opinion, really well thought out, put together, and priced. I must also congratulate the PA's and artists who made all the included items.

It does appear from this thread that quite a few people also decided upon the Pro bundle, so hopefully this will give Daz and the PA's more encouragement for other male orientated items. ;-P

Nice composition and lighting! Did you use City Dove Hair on the woman (if you don't mind me asking)?

I thought you may like to see my latest render of the Gianni 6 character 'Hector'. http://www.daz3d.com/hector-for-gianni-6

I am not particularly into large muscular characters and so the Gianni 6 body has been dialled down to 0.30

The scene and HDR lighting is from DimensionTheory's amazing light set HDR ProSets Yosemite Pack One, light set number 4
    http://www.daz3d.com/hdr-prosets-yosemite-pack-one
    http://www.daz3d.com/hdr-prosets-yosemite-pack-two
I have reviewed these in another thread, but still consider them some of the best lighting for Daz Studio outside of Reality/Luxrender.

Hector is also wearing one of the Funky Undies made by the talented PA 'Cake One' http://www.daz3d.com/funky-bundle
He is also wearing Bold Hair by Daz http://www.daz3d.com/bold-hair

I am not sure why Hector is walking his dog barefoot through the woods in his underwear, but I guess this is the sort of thing you may do when a Daz Superstar and seeking attention !

As a side note, but hopefully related, I am not so keen on the "rolled sausage" look of the Daz Dog's tail. I know there are hair products available that could probably improve the look, but as a dog is "Man's best friend" maybe a more realistic update to the Daz Animals with some new meshes and realistic textures would be a nice idea. ;-)

I hope you like this render, and in the words of the dog....WOOF !!

Yes, I got this one faster than M6. Would have liked a bit more options in clothing, but the ones with him are great. His "characters" are manly and not girlish, which is a big plus!
A guy release next month is like a Giselle in the lions den.

This appears to be new as I haven't recalled seeing this http://www.daz3d.com/new-releases/cut-for-gianni-6, but I do agree with what you are saying. Male characters come out in a bundle with a few extra skin textures and then disappear into the mists of time.

Just look at Teen Jayden 6....big fanfare release....nice bundle, nice extra skin textures then....nothing....gone....forgotten. I posted a couple of renders to the Teen Jayden thread trying to get it going again....but nothing. The fact that there were disappointingly so few renders submitted I wonder how many units of that particular character sold ? Probably not many, hence why poor Jayden is probably dead and buried by now. (Maybe in the plot next to Julie and Justin)

Looking at this Gianni thread there are very few renders of him other than the ones Daz and the PA's submitted. Again I wonder how many units of this character sold and how many people are actually using him in their artworks. By the lack of submitted renders I would gamble the answer is not many.

I certainly don't want to get into a controversial post here, but I noticed the page of the latest 60 new items in the shop. 27 female items, 9 male. Sadly this "male" problem is universal, go look at "Rendo" site and you will find mostly female items, this is why I left their "Prime" scheme due to a lack of male orientated things to buy. If you play a game like the Sims2 or 3, most 3rd party clothing etc is made for
the female characters. Male clothing is very limited, and this is from other players who create and distribute this stuff for free.

Even outside in the real world, go take a walk around a mens store and see how dull and drab the clothing is, with so little variation, and choice compared to a womens clothing store. As a man, I despair.

Sorry, this post is not meant to be a rant, but I can understand that PA's are not going to spend their time making things that don't sell. Obviously quite a few of us here are requesting more male items....but is there enough of us ?....again sadly I fear not. I really wish I had the time and talent to make some things myself.

Oh well, I cannot change the direction the world turns, so just have to wait for the right items to appear and then throw my entire support behind that product. I am extremely happy with the male items I have purchased recently, the great prices, and Platinum member discounts. So basically, I am still a VERY happy Daz customer and grateful for the products that suit my needs.

    Cheers :-)

I'm actually using Gianni a lot I much prefer him to M6.
Heres a render I just finished its about 60% Gianni, I don't think I ever use a character at 100% and just that.

So very true and annoying. (Which isn't to say I'm a lumberjack or anything. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink... say no more. ;-P)

Very nice render scorpio64dragon, and many thanks for your reply to my post. I am also enjoying this particular character. Was one of my favourite purchases so far this year.
