daz keeps crashing (when I click on a Parameter gear) *bug being fixed*

And it's just for 1 morph too
It's the Eyelids Fold Down morph, part of the Genesis evolution pack
All the rest are fine, but as soon as I click that gear, Daz will stop working and crash on me
it's not the gear, but whenever I press the Parameter setting tab, not when I press the gear itself
either way, it still crashes

Which version of DAZ Studio - Help>About DAZ Studio, the number is at top-left? Also, are you sure you are using the current version of the morphs - if you use the Install Manager you should be able to see any pending updates in the Ready to Download or Ready to Install tab. I'm not getting a crash here with the current versions of DS and the morphs

unless they updated since then (which i doubt, with how old the morphs are) then that's not the issue
Found another one that crashes Daz on me
this time, it was Earlobes Attached
I have written over the problem files AND uninstalled Daz, and installed a new copy
It still crashes on me
Do you have Michael 5 and/or Victoria 5? Both of those morphs have MCM correction morphs with those figures, as do many others, so if you do and your versions of those are not current it's remotely possible that may be triggering the crash - it's certainly worth checking that M5 and V5 are current. It's also a good diea to check that you have only one copy of the morph files.

And I only have 1 copy of the morphs in the pack
so...I up & delete all the base files for Genesis, V5, M5 & the evolution morphs, and replaced them with a fresh download
they still crash on me
What else is connected to these Evolution morphs?
Okay, it stopped crashing after I deleted the Victoria 5 folder in the Daz 3D morphs folder (both morphs don't crash anymore)
And it was a brand new install with what I put in that Data folder
*going to put in a new install for V5, again*
but when I put in the new download...it continues to crash on me
*deletes the M5, to do another install like V5*
nope still crashing on me
*then I delete the M5 folder, but bot V5*

There is something with the M5 & V5 morphs that are causing it to crash.
If I delete the V5 data folder and keep M5, it doesn't crash. If I delete the M5 folder & keep V5, it doesn't crash, but I can't have both folders in my Data folder at the same time
another check...I deleted all other Gen5 morphs for Genesis....it still crashes
I even deleted the Gen4 morphs (v4, A4. S4, H5, ect) and the Gen3 moprhs...still crashes on me

I think I found the issue
it's the Victoria 5 file in the
I:\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\UV Sets\DAZ 3D\GenePool
that place (just V5) M5 didn't solve the crash
I deleted that file and it stopped crashing
*then now I try installing a fresh set of Male & female genitalia)
nope, still makes it crash
It has to do with that V5 file, and I don't know what else to do with it. I just tracked down the issue, now I can't fix it
And now I did a fresh install of the Genesis Evolution: Expressions, crashes on me

I noticed some thing shave been coming up on the log, but I'm not sure what the issue is by reading the end of it
Deleted the Young Teens folder, since the error came in at the end...didn't work
Yeah, so far, only things to keep Daz from crashing with these 2 morphs are
delete either the V5 or M5 folder in the Data folder, or by deleting the V5 file in the UV set
and now I have no idea what to do, everything was fresh
What could be clashing with that V5 UV?
Alright....I deleted all the files that was related to anything in that Daz 3D folder (so the whole folder was empty) I EVEN deleted all the files for Genesis (giving it all a fresh start) I kept my vender morphs since I figured those have nothing to do with my issue
....and it still crashes on those 2 morphs
*removing vendor morphs from the Genesis morph folder*
....still crashes
I tried what I could and anything logical to solve this...it all comes down to to that V5 file Gene Pool folder, or maybe something in the V5 folder in the Daz 3D folder
Heh, well apparently I didn't have the latest version of Victoria 5 - but having installed the update (and having the current version of Michael 5 anyway) I'm still not getting a crash. I think at this point you may need to open a support ticket. But here is the thing...even after deleting all that stuff, and putting in new copies (just leaving everything else out) just have the Genesis base files, and V5 & M5
it still crashes
literally, it would just have V5 and M5 in the morph folder, and still crash

I assume you're downloading Genesis Starter Essentials, V5, and M5 fresh?
It wasn't V5 or any of that stuff
the UV maps were clashing with each other...not sure which 1 was giving it issues

there has to be a file that causing this. All the damn things I'm installing are fresh (no old ass torrents, all purchased)

I used the Command prompt in Windows -
type command in the Start menu/page and click Command Prompt
in the window type the letter of the drive you use, followed by a colon, and hit trturn (assuming your content isn't on the C: drive) - so
d:
for me. Then being lazy I open a file browser to show the location I want to list. In the Command prompt type dir and a space, then drag the folder icon from the Explorer window in (that should add the folder anem without having to type it), then type space > space, then add the location you want the output to go to - so mine was
dir "D:\Content Folders\Studio content\data\DAZ 3D\Genesis\Base\Morphs\DAZ 3D\Victoria 5" > E:\Documents\V5Morphs.txt
and hit return

now I really don't know what's up with my files
I can confirm that this also happens on my system (Win7 64-bit, 16GB RAM, DAZ Studio 4.6.2.118). I click the gear icon on the EyelidsFoldDown morph, then click the Parameter Settings. The screen goes gray and generates a Windows error as shown in the attached screenshot. I checked and I have the latest versions of Victoria 5, Michael 5 and the Evolution morphs. I have attached screenshots of the error and the Windows Problem Report.

So, is the problem the Daz installer (I even did a new fresh install of that program)
I'm not sure what the issue is...just sort of found a work around for it
I wonder if it's a plug-in conflict. What plug ins do you have?
