ed3D: Really love your triptych: well done!

My third entry: "Wish I was there - in the freedom of the mind"

No I do not want to be on a superbike in the woods. I'd rather be walking or cycling there. But, the bike and man stand for the free spirit, the freedom of the mind, that most of us (including me) generally do not reach.

The man is Michael 6, wearing Voyager for M6 and the Biker Helmet. The bike is Steambikepro.

The terrains I made myself. The path is actually an stacked, partial form of the terrain below. The trees are from JudyK and Clay Hagebusch. The bush is from Greenworks I instanced them manually. The grass came with one of the Bryce instances I have. Sky is a slightly changed preset sky.

And I made a Triptych: "Traveling from mountainrange to mountainrange"

Spuddy: Quite a rocky shoreline. Not so sure whether I like the relative size of dog and terrain, although there is nothing really wrong with it, I think.

Electro-Elvis: Very minimalistic, but nice entry.

  • adbcadbc Posts: 3,115

    Spuddy : Nice render.

Electro-Elvis : cool idea, I agree with Hansmar : very minimalistic.

  • HoroHoro Posts: 10,636

spuddy - looks nice, the dog's reflections. Nothing against the terrain but I think the material applied is not a perfect fit.

Electro-Elvis - not extremely elaborate but a cool idea nevertheless.

@ ed3D - your entries and the Triptych looks great.
And thank you for your comment.

@ Hansmar - beautiful third entry and Triptych.  "Traveling from mountainrange to mountainrange" is a very nice idea.

@ spuddy - very nice last entry. I like the reflection.

@ Electro-Elvis - very nice idea and render.

Electro-Elvis ....calming image that draws you in

    Thanks adbc...thanks Rieke77

Thanks ..Hansmar   no it's a tricky one for sure   the terrain looks like it would be mountais except for the material and I'm using it as a rocky inlet  my jury is still out on this one ...is the terrain dictating the size of the dog or is the dog dictating the size of the terrain

thanks..Horo  ,,yes tied in with above not the best fit I agree it just had the colouring I was sort of aiming for without actually finding seaweed to render thats what happens when you are lazy

A very challenging challenge. Everyone has done such interesting interpretations.

Here's my first entry: “Isolation Bunker 42 - Oasis”.

G2F, hair, outfit, and plants from Daz 3D.

    Sandhill Cranes from Hivewire.

    Desolation Outpost by Stonemason.

    HDRI sky by Horo.

Illuminated by the sun and Use Sky IBL.

About  two hours and 45 minutes to render at 32 RPP, true ambience enabled.

Good luck to all and thanks for looking!

    My second entry: “Curious Orca”.

Scuba gear and orca from DAZ3D.

    Shipwreck from 3DFree.

    Tuna fish by Toucan.

A large volume metric Bryce  cube surrounds all the objects and the camera. Above it is a water textured infinite plane. Illuminated by the Bryce Sun. Rendered in about two hours at normal AA.

    Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much everyone for the nice comments. I admit the scene is simple, but when I created it I had suddenly the urge to be there, so I thought it fits the topic of this challenge well.

    Good luck to all!
