Rats ... and there was me thinking I had a $6 coupon, ready to use for new stuff ... and, nope. Not valid. For so many reasons ...

    1) the email says: We're giving you $6 Off you next purchase with coupon code: Make-it-rain-6
    2) the link to the newsletter webpage has the code as: MAKE-IT-RAIN
    3) If I copy/paste from the webpage i get: Make-it-rain

I can see how 2) and 3) could be mixed up, but 1) looks to be a different coupon entirely and I was clutchign it tightly in my sweaty hand for a good use and just had such a use - the Rumble in the Bronx. Sadly 'twas not to be. Not olny was the code I was trying not corerct but I had actually already used the correct MAKE-IT-RAIN code on the Gianni bundle.

I actually can't get it to work either, tried with two under-$10 items that came to just over $10 total. Weird.

That isn't meant to work - it's items, not orders, under $10 that are excluded.

You're right, I don't know why I kept reading the limitation as $10 total rather than per item. Sorry.

...so does it expire at "Daz Time" tomorrow?

The Make-it-rain coupon for $6 does not appear to work even though I understood it to work through the end of April 21st 2014.
I'm trying to use it on the Genesis Gargoyle HD which currently costs 13.97.

It is over $10, as the coupon requires and does not exclude new items or ones that are not DAZ Originals.

    Should it not work?

I have had 2 prior coupon screw-ups and after lots of back and forth messages from Sales got it resolved, but it is a huge waste of time and extremely annoying. There is obviously a technical problem that exists, once you weed out the misunderstandings and only consider the people for whom it does not work although they have satisfied every requirement.

How about fixing the technical problems with these coupons. Please

You have to type it all capitals. I finally found it last night and got it to work on the Gianni 6 Pro Bundle.

Very odd. Were there perhaps two coupons?

There were three make it rain coupons, I believe they said somewhere. The OP used a mixture of lower and uppercase which may be the issue. Perhaps they should try copying and pasting the code from the email they received, if typing it in isn't working.

I did the copy-paste from the e-mail at first, and I'm fairly sure it pasted in as initial caps. Typed it in myself as all caps and it worked.

... after I'd remembered about the only-over-$10 limit. :red:

Definitely something weird about these coupon codes, though. They do usually work for me, but every now and then they go a little bit heisenberg.

Having seen posts about upper vs lower case, I tried it both ways. Neither one worked, I only wanted to waste time posting the version that the coupon announcement used which is what you see.

The conclusion is that one way works for some people and another works for some others, and none works for still other people.
As I said this is not the first time in the last 4 weeks that a coupon, which sales told me should have worked failed to work. I'm sure I'm not the only person frustrated and tired of these unnecessary headaches.

Had you received an email or in-store message with the code? If not you may simply not have been in the targeted segment.

Yes, I got an e-mail notice about this code, and yes, I tried all Uppercase. I'm pretty sure I also got a reminder of it where the coupon was just as I showed in my original failed attempt screen capture where it was" Make-it-rain". Finally it clearly says END OF DAY April 21, 2014. So, my attempt to use the coupon was NOT past the deadline.

Is it so hard to believe that for some unknown technical reasons, a number of these COUPONS do not work, in spite of the users having fulfilled all of the necessary requirements ?

As I said before, I've have had 2 other prior occasions where the coupon failed to work, and after a lot of wasted time communicating with Sales Help, they could not find a reason why the coupon FAILED to work and resolved the problem at the very end.

    Thanks,

    Dan

At one time I some how had two accounts, the one from the old forums and the one that was created for my first log in to this forum. I used the very same user name and email so it never should have created the new account but it was there. That caused me all kinds of errors until it was found and fixed. Not saying that is your error but it did happen at least once as it happened to my account. I hope your problems are fixed soon but only the People at DAZ 3D can do so. None of us in the forums can.

    Jaderail,

Yes, I don't expect anyone on this forum to solve the problem but wanted to let others know they are not alone if they have Coupon problems like I have.

    Thanks,

    Dan
