That's kinda cruel.
...in the UK a number of flutterby species are protected by law as their populations have been steadily dwindling. Sad to see something so pretty disappear.
Has anyone tried to get two things that add up to more than $10 to buy with the $6 MAKE-IT-RAIN coupon?
Dana
...reading the thread on this I believe it has to only be a single item over 10$.
Was hoping to use it to purchase the GenX2 upgrade, but for some reason I am not getting the special discounted price those who bough the original version are supposed to get. Without that it is still too expensive (32$). Mentioned this in the GenX2 thread and Dimension3D said the matter would be brought up to Daz, but still not seeing the discount applying. Submitting a request ticket for a partial refund for the difference will do me no good as it will be store credit rather than an actual cash savings.
Thanks. I guess I'll just get something in my wishlist that's on sale over $10. There are a couple of things. I just didn't know if I really wanted them. Alessandro AM has things on sale, but they're under $10 each. Oh, well. Maybe it will be the low res Cats and Rats. Or maybe something else.

TFD?
Looks pretty good.

Uh sorry, Turbulent Fluid Dynamics for Lightwave or TurbulenceFD

I decided on the Complete Shark Attack! it was in my wishlist for a long time but was very expensive. It's on sale and with the coupon I only paid $11.18. I don't know if I'd have ever bought it at the regular price, or even at the price with the PC discount. Even with that it was still $30! The hammerhead looks cool! I always thought so, ever since I was a kid. I had a Golden book that had an illustration of one in it.

put in a ticket to Daz help, the upgrade price worked for me :)

Oh, thanks. No need to be sorry, though.

New Mac came, in an unpacking frenzy but lost all light here, don't think I'll be able to take good pics for an unpacking proper :)
Meh I'll see how it goes
Power outage or just sunset? If the former, I hope it doesn't last too long for you!
Hey, I'm going to go watch the news with some maple milk. Be back later maybe.

Raining and grey all day and north facing windows, sun haz gone for today think we're three hours away from sunset
...love to use mine, only a half hour left. The only thing I planned to buy since January was the GenX Update, that's how tight finances have been. I had to miss out on a lot of other coupons & deals over the months, including all of MM. Now looks like I 'll have to let this one expire as it may be a couple days before Daz reissues the credit (according to Dimension3D, the special pricing for owners of the original GenerationX was intended to go on longer than the introductory sale).
Guess I could get something off my wishlist that's just over 10$.

...yeah but all that will get me is a refund for the difference in store credit, As I mentioned, on my current budget, that does me little good as I was looking at a 6.90$ purchase between the coupon and special upgrade pricing (the 66% discount for having GenerationX would have brought the price of the plugin to12.90$ which would have made it an eligible item for the coupon).
...ahh well, water over the bridge anyway as it's after 11:59 Daz Time.
...hmm, looks like it would be more at home in the kitchen than in the work studio.

drow (/ˈdraʊ/[1][2] or /ˈdroʊ/)[3] according to wikipedia two ways first rhymes with how, second draw.
Have on good authority it rhymes with COW
Always a little butterfly-ee turning on new compys - oh yay it worked  No onboard Hard Disk Drives is a bit scary, back to the 1980s  No DVD either
Hehe it looks like a rubbish bin
...I was thinking some kind of futuristic espresso maker.
[ETA]
Just went to the website. 9.9" tall and no internal HDDs?
...is that a 12 core hyperthreading CPU?

24 threads, in theory 3.5 Ghz with turbo boost but we'll see...

They tell you to leave it on the desktop, but they haven't seen my desktop, is covered in shiny looking junk like that usually  Like choc wrappers and takeaway cartons
I use a thunderbolt RAID anyway day to day, going to need an upgrade to the thunderbolt 2 to get 4K video happening in bulk....
Oh, my god! 12 cores and 64 Gigs of RAM?
That's OK (consoles self) my little Core2 Duo box is doing well now that I have Win7 Pro, 8 Gigs of RAM and an SSD boot drive. (consoles self some more) Everything seems really fast now.

Is replacing a seven year old Mac Pro original (1,1) so I'm expecting seven or eight years out of it - by then it will be an also ran like the 1,1 is now, can't update it anymore :) In the day the Mac Pro original was an OMG that's waaaay too spec'd out, but is an old slowcoach now
Basically with these new Macs you buy the video cards and they throw the rest in for next to nothing
..so what are your plans for the old Mac Pro 1.1? A render box?
With a bit of luck yes, 16GB RAM and two Xeon 5150s are handy but think long term it doesn't have much of a future useful to me, I had to hack a video card into it to keep Final Cut going and the latest version of FC won't install on it anyway. Is a bit large to be an NAS but I could install a BSD server on it I guess, might extend its useful life another few years and a couple of nonprofits I know might have a use for it :)

I bought something that was $9.95 when I used mine, the $6 all came off so I guess "close enough" is OK. :)
Got the opposite problem to Kulay, tap washer is busted and had to turn off the water at the mains and call a plumber
aaaaaaand the plumber came, that was 50 minutes or so wait at 9PM, fabulous. Can't really handle this much excitement tho phew
This is my first go around with an SSD, this one on the PCIE bus seems very quick. Still running Vista here on a quad core with 12G RAM and Barracuda HDDs, it hardly misses a beat :)
