Rosie is way overloaded and should cast some of that cumbersome stuff away.  Everyone knows that villains only strike at the left deltoid muscle.  For example, the shin guards are totally gratuitous, and impede movement.  laugh

I was only joking, simply because the "armor" and outfits are usually very very skimpy and don't exactly offer much in the way of protection.

Oh no - I think she needs some of that armor back!  She needs that shoulder pauldron for the left deltoid muscle.  And that loose flowing robe could catch on things; no good at all.  Take that off.  surprise

LOL, great stuff, Dart.  You have a wonderful wardrobe for Rosie.  She looks great.  Love her videos.

Don't forget protection for the left deltoid muscle, and ONLY the left deltoid muscle (haha).  This shoulder pauldron with the red arrow is the only armor necessary.  Don't weigh poor Rosie down with all that other unnecessary armor, or risk tangling her with long flowing robes.  laugh

She does.  Setting aside all the kidding about sexy armor, it really is impressive how you have built a signifcant wardrobe and sets for her.  Stay motivated!

You haven't seen even a smidgen of what I have for Rosie! But... Thank you Very Much! I really appreciate the encouragement, the witticism, and the compliments!

    Motivated = Me! :)

So Cool! Daz 3D made this available for Free to Everyone! That's exactly what I was hoping for!!!

    Finally!

Saturday, November 23rd 2024, I'll be demonstrating a whole bunch of techniques and settings that I use for Rosie's Classic Long Curly Hair with dForce for Genesis 8 Females, by Linday - along with looking at many other dForce Hair products by Linday, and why they are So Freaking Good!!!

I have been really eager to show the Urban Future series, by Stonemason. This is a series of really nice Sci-Fi rendering extravaganzas that spans nearly the entire historical timeline of Daz 3D and each of them exude the high-end quality of what we get when we buy a Stonemason kit.

Of course, I use a Lot of various animation products when I'm working with Linday's dForce hair. However, one particular artist has made a series of animation kits that work especially well for working out new techniques, settings, and experiments when it comes to dForce hair and clothing - Havanalibere. I'll go through why I feel that way as well as demonstrate how I use them for these purposes.

We'll also be exploring some cool new interiors that work great with the whole Urban Future atmosphere by a relatively new kid on the Daz 3D block - CyborgNinja

    Exciting Stuff!

Check out the Episode Web Page on my site

At this stage of the game, it's a little strange putting together a promo video, since so much of what we'll be seeing is absent from the video. But I wanted to get something out there to announce the show, so here it is:

dForce with Linday in an Urban Future

After following the link to the intended episode web page, I surfed the rest of your site a little bit.  So much that is new to me.  Amazing effort putting that all together.

    Congratulations.  yes  heart

    ...and What a Coincidence!

January 18th at 20:00:00 GMT is The Creative Cart - Episode 010 : Aeon Soul meets The DigiVault!!!

What a Blast that's going to be!

I've been animating, simulating, designing, optimizing, and rendering like Crazy to get this show together - and it'll take every second still until the actual show to get it all together. Such are the ways of The Creative Cart! I have so much stuff I want to share with everyone, and there's only two hours per show - Maximum. So I just keep pushing on and let what I do help me to decide what to do next.

I was deep into making this episode - already decided on the topic - and out comes yet another Amazing Aeon Soul set of products! I simply had to get them all!!!

When it comes to Aeon Soul and The DigiVault, we go back quite a ways.

As it turns out, for every cool new outfit I create from Aeon Soul, there just so happens to be a perfect, imaginative, awesome-looking environment without looking any further than The DigiVault! And that same things works the other way around, too! If I load in an environment from The DigiVault, I know that Aeon Soul has the perfect combinations available to me to concoct The Coolest Outfit Possible for the occasion!

So along with all of this, in Animation Corner I'm going to share some really fun techniques for working out how to render moving background videos to go with our character renders. I'm always showing how I render my character to alpha to be composited over a background image in post, and I've covered how I make a bunch of other renders to blend with those character renders, so this time around I want to show a cool set of tricks on getting our background videos to match up nicely with out In-Place character renders to make it look like they're not just moving In-Place - very easily and without a lot of fuss! It's all about setting ourselves up with a simple Scene preset that we can merge directly into anything else, and anything else can be merged (or built) into it! So Cool!!!

Anyways, check out the cool page I have going for The Creative Cart - Episode 010 : Aeon Soul meets The DigiVault!!!

On the article page, I talk about how much I enjoy the fact that The DigiVault's scene kits, like Underside and Silent City as big examples of this, are built in such a way that I find it fun to use just parts of them to create wonderful assets for entirely different scenes as well as to extend the ones they come in.

To 'put my money where my mouth is' I'll be showing what I mean by this.

I'm certainly no stranger to thinking outside the box to take really cool looking things, and getting them rendered nice and quickly to get the action from my head onto the screen. Silent City and Underside were two of the kits that really got my head into the game on doing this in Carrara back in the day.

In Carrara, I find it essential to give every material its own special Carrara shader. It's what we do as Carrara artists, and it can be a lot of fun!

Massive city scenes, like Silent City, can become a little daunting since there are simply So Many different shaders to create.

When I got Silent City, I was really impressed at The DigiVault's absolute attention to organization when it comes to naming the material zones (Surfaces on the mesh) and all of the various maps that make up a good shader. It was really odd to get used to!

If the material zone is called "001_WindowLight", for just an off-the-top-of-my-head make believe example, the base color map would be called something crazy, like "001_WindowLight_Diffuse" or "001_WindowLightBase Color". Who does that?!!!    The DigiVault does!

That example doesn't even really come close to illustrating how cool such a thing is until you start building your own shaders for such a massive set. It was an absolute dream!

Well now I'm in Daz Studio Premier, and it's crazy how fun this stuff is!!!

I have to say, I still have a really Really tight budget, but Daz Premier is The One subscription I have (period) and never want to let go of. I think I might just use the Geometry Sculptor on everything I bring in? If not - close to it, that's for sure!

I took the outer cityscape from Underside and used the Geometry Sculptor to make a morph that changes the overall shape of that city portion, so that I could use multiples of it to create a City Surround (for rendering Flying in the City motion backgrounds) along with the cool buildings from Silent City. Boom! Done! And now it's rendering my in-motion background footage at 10 frame per minute!!! Oh I love what I do!!! :)

This is one frame of it - it's using the DoF (camera's Depth of Field) needed for the character render that will go on top of this (meaning that it's supposed to be blurry like that). One frame. Put them all together and you've got Rosie flying through the city! :)

    Happy New Year!

On your progress, looks great, but I will have to circle back for the details when I have more time.  My train for returning home from the holidays got cancelled, and Amtrak only runs one train per day on my route.  More trouble accumulated from there.  But home now and trying to catch up.  Looking forward to Rosie, Creative Cart, your webpage, etc.

    Stay motivated.

    Looking great.

Do you have some suggestions how to fix in animation in Daz Studio when hands and skirt go inside the body?
