was what my Gran used to quote (^_^)h (in reference to the colour of the clouds at sunset and sunrise). Sometimes "shepherd" was used in place of "sailor".

Heard very similar here as a kid from the old timers...
Red sunset a sailors safe bet,
    Red sunrise sailors despise.

We had a slightly different version:

"Red sky at night, farmers delight.
Red sky in the morning, the old barn's alight."

Ok, this is STRICTLY a proof-of-concept for NVIATWAS - it's only 2 tracks, drums and vocals. It's a test so it's harsh and rough.

It's enough for you to get get a feel where I'm going with this.. think old NIN, industrial/techno kind of thing.

NOT SAFE FOR WORK OR KIDS. Turn the volume DOWN.

    https://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality/nviatwas

That IS me singing, processed and distorted all to heck and gone.

Now I have to think where to go.. I have screams (male/female), lots of horror sound clips, I think sword clashes and flesh impacts.

    This could get ugly... :ahhh:

Probably too late but I got an FNF/file might be private message :(

It's supposed to be public.. will check when I get home. Thanks!

...well, it couldn't have been Leela as she cannot hold a tune to save her life even though she has such an upbeat attitude.

...but then, stopped at the local Karaoke club after the fireworks on the 4th and she would have been a "operatic diva" compared to many of the female singers I heard that night.

    ...at least, she giggles.

I dated a dance major for a while.. she's sing show tunes at me all the time, Annie was one of her faves.

I got annoying, but she was fun more often than not, and woah, she had an incredible body! :red:

I was 23, what did I know? :red:

Another day I drag to work as sunlight fills the sky
Three-day weekend been and gone, all I can do is cry
Work so hard to get my pay I really try my best
But I end up with little 'cause I owe the IRS.
Oh somewhere birds are tweeting and little children play
And someone doesn't work too hard to make some decent pay
Somewhere someone's smiling and a young girl laughs and claps
But I'm stuck in the office, so it's all a load of crap!

    *grumble*

Sigh... The street department has two codes to identify streets- a street id and a GIS link number so it can be mapped. Just got a list from contractors with neither>_<. Going to take all day to plot this</p>

Haz been 3 degrees warmer all day but meh the sun is gone again but there is still some blue on the skyline just before dark, hoping for a red sky tonight for a change :)

    Red Sky At Night? :)

    Dana

my grandmother used to quote It will be fair weather tomorrow for the sky is red. And in the morning, it will be foul weather today; for the sky is red and lowering/ Dunno if it is very scientific, only biblical

I was thinking more of the tune from 1982. But I misquoted the title...it's Red Skies At Night, by The Fixx.

Finally, finally home. I've been headachy all day (same sinus headache from yesterday) and it doesn't help that I'm worrying about my dad.

Wednesday, he goes into surgery. There's a lump in his lung. Problem is, they can't tell if it's benign or the big C. If it's benign, they'll cut it out and he'll be in the hospital for a week.

It's it not, they'll sew him back up and send him home to start Chemo. My mother died from Cancer and I'm terrified I'm going to lose my dad now.

Morning. Needing some blue skies and sun, Irving Berlin style, but all we got is dreary utilitarian grey and a cold wind picking up. That is my complaint :)
