Come somebody please post links to these various clothing items that can be made into girl scout uniforms?

  That's the one I was talking about when I said that the only one I can currently find wasn't very good. It's a Geneisis 8 uniform that looks like it was made back in the Genesis 2 days.

  It looks too basic. And who every heard of a scout uniform without badges and patches? VERY underwhelming...

   And, as I also said, no G8 girlscout uniform exist at all. Criminal, just criminal...

 

I think it's probably a good item, but the drab colors and the choice of a blank off-white void for the main promotional image don't do the outfit justice.

Yeah, the absence of badges and patches are the biggest problem.  You could try to make your own, but we are headed into "Why would I buy ready-made content if I then need to make a major effort to make it practical/useful?" territory.  Uniforms without insignia almost always look like they're just bad fashion decisions.

Armed forces/combat uniforms come up in multiple genres in every generation of figures, so they probably sell reasonably well, but scouting seems like a small niche.

I read this post a while back and I too was amazed no one has created one of the classic girlscout outfit. So that started a quest to see if I could use existing clothing items to do that. One of Daz's sales allowed me to be creative. I found that with these basic items you can get a good base for the uniform. You'll just need to do some texture modifications. Usually you can get away with just changing the texture "Hue" to the desired color, but sometimes, such as with the badges, you'll have to do overlays, and create some Bump, or Displacement maps. I'm lucky enough to have a older version of Adobe Photoshop, so I don't have the monthly fee, and it makes life easy.

This is the main outfit you will need. It has the Shirt, Tie, Shoes, Skirt, and a decent Blazer. The girls wore a different open style but I liked the looks of this one. You can always look for another.

This is what I used for the sash. It's actually facing the wrong way, but it's the best Gen 8 Sash I could find. You could use the one from the outfit already mentioned in this thred, but I didn't like it.

For the Brownie Outfit you can pretty much use any decent jumper, but this was what I used.

The Beret and Belt were from that classic boy scout outfit mentioned previously. As the are Gen series, I'm not much of a fan, but it suffices until I find something better. The Beret was from a military uniform and I've seen several on DAZ you could get, but any decent beret would work, same with the socks. Just do a google search for girlscout badges and you'll find your overlays.

I forgot the box. I used a shoe box, which I cant remember where I got it, but pretty much any box will do. I shrunk it down to the scale I liked, and found some old style girlscout cookie box images on google for the image overlay.

There is nothing stopping you from finding the badges you want online and applying them to the texture for the look you need. Considering the small niche this fills, I doubt you will see another one, of better quality for awhile if at all.

It doesn't even have a collar.
