Thanks, Bunyip.  Here is an image I just did for the Daz+ monthly challenge.  It is a composite of a Carrara background render to make the crowd with Lorenzo Lorez figures and Daz Studio to make the foreground boxers.  Some tweaking in an image editor and Filter Forge to get the non-photo effect.  I call it Eye of the Tiger, inspired by Mr. T in Rocky III.

One of your best renders ever. I know you gotta be happy with it. yes

Thank you, @Khoe.  No matter how many rim lights I used, I had a hard time separating the moose from the background.

Thank you, @Bunyip02, @UnifiedBrain, @Stezza, and @WendyLuvsCatz, for the nice comments on the boxing image.  I was a little hesitant posting a half-Carrara, half-Studio image, so I am glad it was welcome.  yes

Great render, and wonderful sentiment.  The Addams Family was always wonderfully optimistic, in its own offbeat way.  You captured the spirit perfectly.

Wow, a fantastic creative mix of familiar creepy shapes!  The caption doesn't do anything for me (even though it was done well), but everything else is perfect.  Maybe the most archetypal halloween image ever.

Another entry in the Daz+ Summer Challenge.  Unfortunately, I botched the depth of field, the shadows, and the rim light.  But I think the Carrara dynamic hair did well.  Qualifying item is the Hippie Chick Outfit for G2F.

    22nd Century Bonnie and Clyde.

Yet another entry in the Daz+ summer challenge.  Qualifying items were the Charm texture set for the Ewerai outfit for V4 and the GIS Emperor Outfit for G2M.  Perhaps this one belongs in the NPR thread.

@diomede great to see the Carrara flag flying in the Daz+ board, I'm guessing there probably isn't many Carrara users in there any more, mine lapsed 12 months ago or more so good to see your tommy terrific renders participating ..

    good luck yes

Wendy, I have another question about this video.  How did you do the strobe-ish light effect (light flickering on the walls) about halfway through?  I assume that is is supposed to be candle flame, but I don't think that the Carrara fire primitive casts a flicker like that.  Or does it?

no I used bulbs with animated power and effects, the flames are morph targets also animated, I oscillate the tweeners

One more entry in the Summer Daz+ Event.  The qualifying item is Under the Sea Props, but Carrara-ists may recognize Dart's Underwater Realms set.  Had some fun playing with Carrara's light cone effect for its spotlights.  Hope it came through.  And of course Carrara dynamic hair is perfect for underwater scenes.

Yet another entry in the Daz+ Summer event.  Tribute to an old Mad Magazine cover entitled 'Mad Overboard.'  More details at gallery link.

It is better to be looked over than over looked.  - Mae West.  Mae West was a writer, director, and producer in addition to being a star performer, and a safety equipment essential.

That was a good magazine cover for inspiration, and you did an excellent interpretation!

Yes, parodies are a favorite subject of mine.  Also, I read somewhere that "Mae West" is the only human name listed in the Merriam-Webster dictionary.  If you win "Jeopardy!" with that, I want a cut.

Thanks, UB and SteveK.  Mad Magazine was must reading in my youth. I find Mae West's broadway business inspiring.  I think we got a watered down version in the movies.

Farmgirl Drags Prince on Quest.  Another entry in the Daz+ summer event.  More fun with the Ichiro and Koshini figures.  Picked up plenty of related content in the '8 items for...' sales.  More details at the gallery link.  https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/user/5913224163622912#gallery=newest&page=1&image=1299233

    Dragon Cult - NNVIATWAS

But wait, there is more.  Yet another entry in the Daz+ Summer Event.  The qualifying item was the Fantasia Dress for G2F, which comes with a staff with a dragon on the tip.  Now that cries out for a Nearly Naked Vickie in a Temple with a Staff.  LOL.  I acquired a lot of older content on the cheap during the sale; most of which is Carrara compatible.  I hope no one minds the barage of randomly themed images.  In this case, I like how Carrara's replicator and Predatron's Lorez figures can easily make a big crowd.  I'd say about half of my Daz+ entries have used Carrara as the primary renderer, and almost all the others I have used a Carrara modeler, or UVMapper, or... to quickly address some issue.

    Abdication.

And yet another entry in the Daz+ Summer Event.  Although I rendered this one in Daz Studio, I modeled a lot of items and kit bashed a lot of items in Carrara for the scene.  This is a tribute to a classic painting by Gavin Hamilton.  It depicts Mary Queen of Scots abdicating.  Interested people can find the original here.

Very nice. And that original painting is really impressive.
