To my knowledge, the only DAZ original character ever released to be publicly admitted to being based on a real person irl was Reby Sky back in the V4/Genesis days. Beyond that it's all just opinions on the internet who resembles whom. With that said, I have Gia 8 down as Rebecca Romjin.

There are other core characters that seem very obviously based on real people, but DAZ doesn't openly say that, likely for legal reasons.
V8, Gia 8, and Freja 8 don't remind me of real people in a very obvious way, though.
There is a resemblance to the Star trek Character Tasha Yar played by Denise Crosby

There was also the Anne Marie Goddard Digitial Clone for Victoria 3, way back.
Catty 8.1 may be considered a core character in the DAZ content ecosystem, but it isn't a DAZ original creation - it was created by @-Yannek-.
Definetly younger if it was Lana. Maybe based during her Lizzy Grant era? But she had more of a button nose then so idk. Lana with a little less surgery lol? Certainly reminiscent though.

I'm not 100% sure, but yeah, Lana would be my best guess atm. It's mostly in the eyes, for me. But Lana Del Rey wears a fair amount of makeup all the time, and has been changing her face quite a bit. So, this would have to be without all of that, and definitely pre-lip plumping, which is getting a little out of control tbh :p
That's how Daz core characters are made-- they commission an artist to make them.
I mean "DAZ original creation" as-in, DAZ itself is the sole entity credited as the model's artist.
Official DAZ characters were certainly "inspired by" real people, but that's not the same as being a copy of the real people.
That said, we have discussed in the past, and this is my recollection...
Gia - Gina Carano - Gia 8 could easily be an updated/tweaked version without even referring to other people, but also pushing the character a bit further away from the original inspiration (e.g. body type is now quite removed from Gina's look in The Mandalorian).
Freja 8 - Ragnheiður Sara Sigmundsdóttir - If she's not the inspiration, then it's the most serendipidous character creation ever, LOL.
Victoria 8 - My understanding is the Victorias have always been inspired by the best parts of the most beautiful women e.g. supermodels and the like - so maybe the eyes of one, the nose of another, and lips from somebody else... then the artist works from this to turn the creation into a believable character - but equally, the same thing can result simply by artists starting from scratch and imagining theit ideal woman within the criteria DAZ asked for (girl next door, glamourous, elf-like etc).
Any idea who this is? Chinese Model for G8F Kinda looks familiar but i just can't remember..

The likeness info in this thread is all crowd-sourced. And the upkeep of summary lists done entirely for free in people's spare time. If you wanna help, the best thing you can do is if you think you can successfully ID newly released models that no one else has mentioned here yet - make a post about it. Unfortunately DAZ's forums don't allow for multi-user editing acess to existing forum posts.
As RayDAnt said above the lists are compiled, mainly, from information in this thread. If no one has identified, with a reasonable degree of certainty, who that character is meant to represent the list isn't updated. My rule of thumb, if one person says 'it looks a bit like' then the tendancy is to let it ride for a while. If there are multiple celebrities guessed for the same character I wait for a concensus to emerge. I also run photos through the celebrity identification sites and Google images. The thread is checked regularly, mostly daily.
This is not an exact science, some people see different celebrities in the same character and are probably certain that the one they see is there. Mostly a concensus tends to emerge. I do the above to try and remain impartial.

Actually I have to disagree with you on Krashwerks Cora. I'm 95% certain it's based off porn model Cory Chase (NSFW search).
I agree with this... a SFW google search produced a couple pictures that look close to the promos.. mostly because the ones with spectacles
Fwiw it can also be both - doppelgangers exist in real life too after all.
Kennedy = Baywatch era Pamela Anderson (not just from the promo pics.)
I have Mackenzie as Courtney Eaton, although that's another where I can absolutely see both.
