complaint: bus driver drove past me while I was at the bus stop. I was sitting down. When I saw the bus, I stood up. The driver didn't even slow down like the other drivers. ugg

That's lame, and I always call that driver in with a complaint. They are idiots! :snake: :shut:

    Rare in my experience
...in my last job, about on par if not worse than the odds for winning a 300$ million+ jackpot in the multi-state Powerball on a single line ticket.

...back home after an "interesting" day. Nothing bad, just a bit strange.

As excellent as the classroom training and simulations were, it felt like "deer in the headlights time" taking actual live calls. Suddenly everything you felt you knew and learned in the preceding weeks goes *pffft* once a caller has an issue that was never discussed or walked through in the classroom. Maybe it was the (bad) luck of the draw that my partner and I got several really difficult calls to handle that basically seemed more like "damage control" than simply assisting a customer who was having trouble activating their new iPhone or requesting a breakdown of the charges on their bill. Fortunately we have coaches there to help us when we get in a bind, but it doesn't mitigate the feeling of sheer terror at times that we could do something wrong which could cause the customer to cancel their account and go to another vendor.

When we were asked individually how we felt afterwards in the debrief session, I mentioned it was "kind of like being at the controls of a 747 in an inverted flat spin with two engines out". The instructor smiled and replied, "but you managed to pull it out and not crash."

...guess my partner and I did better than we perceived at the time.

    Definitely a "unique" experience.

Tomorrow we "solo" for the first time.

WHEN you can get it, it's a good feeling. When you can't, it's demoralizing.

Personally I prefer boss to have a bit of a vision so long as it isn't too weird or impossible to realise. Pet hate is boss which takes credit for other peoples work, or the one who told me last week she was clever enough for everyone and didn't need any more ideas

I only had one boss pull the "that was my idea" on me once, and the moment he pulled it, I handed my resignation to HIS boss with a long, detailed explanation why I wasn't giving 2 weeks notice. He got canned 3 weeks later. :snake: :snake:

Where I am now, it's weird.. my real boss doesn't want to learn about software development, my hardware counterpart signs my timecard, the 2 of us are the only non-mechanical engineers.. so my ideas are the ONLY ones. :blank: :blank:

It's like having absolute power but no-one to wield it over.. :smirk:

Is comforting to know that not every idea is a good one, so steal away imo ...

Sounds about right for a phone company tho, people have strange ideas about what's going on with their phone

It's a Friday morning and nothing is NEGATED
Sitting at my desk feeling kind of UNFLATED
It's raining real bad, like cats and DOGS
It;s a wonderful day for things like FROGS
I ended up soaked, yeah got real WET
It's still really storming, it ain't over YET
Gonna end up damp since I gotta go SHOPPING
And there's no sign that the rain is STOPPING
But I have a rock show gonna party all NIGHT
By tomorrow morning I'll look like a FRIGHT
Send out for sushi and render all DAY
I'll hide from the weather, stay in and PLAY!

    don't have that one.

haz Autumn Trees by Merlin - says something about fallen leaves.
it's not the one i'm remembering though.

    aha!
    Lisa's Botanicals - Cherry Trees
    - Also includes a ground litter prop to scatter leaves and petals on the ground under your trees.

Definitely want to animate more tentacles, maybe some camera motion, then maybe add a Vicky or Aiko to the mix.

Wish I were at home playing... :)

In the world of Vicky's Diner, Vicky can use a sword, a gun, and any pre-loaded magic item (sings, staffs, wands, etc.) - Vicky is more of an inventor/mechanic, as opposed to Aiko who is a heavy-duty sorceress.

Naked Vicky in a love temple with a tentacle monster! Be afraid! :ahhh: :ahhh: Watch out for the weird ruby ring she's wearing... :gulp:
