I once did that and ignored myself by mistake. Not sure if I can do that again.

Super double happiness time! :cheese: :cheese:

Sipping miso soup and eating unagi maki.. finishing up a new dark ambient track.. warm and snug in my room.

Cold and damp outside, poor delivery guy.. gave him a bit of an extra on the tip, hope he can buy a nice warm coffee now. :)

Next on my agenda: fire up Photoshop and make track art! :snake:

One Halloween I gave away 3 litters of kittens. Another Halloween I gave away 3 puppies. If the trick-or-treaters wanted one they had to bring a parent to the door so I could be sure the babies went to good homes. For the people who want candy for their infants, I hand them a teething biscuit, a jar of baby food, or a disposable diaper.

...just woke up, eyes bleary, and no caffeine in the bloodstream yet. Read the fist line as "3 litres of kittens"

Cute render! I like the little dragon. :)

One of the few advantages to living here is that they put out coffee in the morning, from about 5AM until 11AM. It's pretty decent coffee, and it's always fresh, so I've started grabbing a small cuppa before my commute. Used to be I'd walk to the Whataburger 1/2 a block away, but apparently the health department shut it down. :gulp:

Closest breakfast place is now the McD's 3 blocks off. :blank: There's an IHOP next door to McD's, that might be brekkie tomorrow if I run out of leftovers AND it's not raining. Won't get pancakes of course, but the chicken fried steak and eggs looks tempting.. so does an omelette..

Found a few bucks for content, got some stuff on sale. :)

Now to see about getting the tentacle animation clip up on to YouTube... :smirk:

...whoa, A Whataburger was shut down for health code violations? Definitely sounds like a management/franchise issue.

Ugh, could never get me to go into a Micky D's (or for that fact Burger Sling and any of the other nation/worldwide FF chains) anymore for reasons beyond just the "food product" they peddle which I cannot discuss here.

It was definitely a management issue.. they had 3 different managers in the past 4 months.. never a good sign.

I think IHOP will be my breakfast target, 3 blocks isn't far if the weather is less than miserable. That, and get some instant coffee and mug!

Whew, beer time! Finished my entry for the "One Sample Dare" #22 contest. Someone posts an audio sample and you're supposed to turn it into a track without using any instruments at all, just the sample and effects! :ahhh: A worthy challenge for my immense lack of talent! :red: :red:

Here it is, "Bird In The Factory": https://soundcloud.com/synthetic_aurality/bird-in-the-factory

This was the original sample we were given: https://soundcloud.com/krismckenna/ambientonlineosd22

If you notice any similarities, then I screwed up. :red: :red:

Now, for some Sam Adams Octoberfest Beer!! :cheese: :cheese:

...thee managers in four months, could also be a franchise ownership issue as well.

At least IHOP has flapjacks as well. I'll go there before I'll ever set foot in a Denny's again that's for sure.

*blech* instant. Mega Acid Alert! :ohh:

Do you have any method for heating water? The best way for a single cup is a "Pour Over" hich uses a filter basket (like the old Melita filter system).

Here'a an overview with a number of different types of systems listed from Seattle Coffee Gear (if there is any place where they know how to brew the best coffee, it's Seattle). You don't have to purchase from the site as I am sure any housewares store will have have some of these or similar models. I would suggest stainless steel and/or ceramic as it would be better for the coffee (and you) than plastic. The Sowden coffee makers all use a fine steel mesh filter so no paper filters to mess with. The Melita one with the Bamboo stand is also a nice option especially here space is an issue though it does require paper filters.

I have a decent microwave I use to zap reheatables that boils water pretty quickly.

Thanks for the coffee info! I have *just* enough room on my desk to put a small brewing system, I don't want anything too fancy as.. well, I'd have to sell it when I move if it's out of Tulsa. :long: Otherwise I'd own a Keurig system... :long:

I'm going to check out Seattle Coffee Gear!

I'll find a mug and some decent coffee, probably online as this is the Midwest we're talking about, Rolling Rock is considered a high-end beer... :blank: :blank:

I have to take the bus 40 minutes one-way to get decent beer.. for crying out loud.. *cry* *cry*

...reviews I read put the fresh pour over method above either teh standard drip makers or ones that use pre measured "coffee pods" (like the Keurig models do). Much simpler and some take up very little space. You can even get pour over cones that you can place right on top of your travel mug.

I also have a french press (the only brewing method I use anymore) but it does take more time to let the coffee steep properly and they require more meticulous cleanup afterwards.

...I take it HEB is the big market chain there as well.

Have you tried Mecca Coffee Co. 134 E 41st st?. They seem to have some reasonable prices for high quality coffee by the pound theyonly seel bulk coffe and have no cafe of their own. .

Another is Topeca with several shops in the area. However, they seem a bit more "exclusive" thus more expensive.

Finally there's Java Dave's with several locations in Tulsa. Dave's gets some good ratings for their coffee shops, one I read by a transplant from the "coffee mecca" of Seattle who says even the Starbucks shops there can't get it right.
