    I got a letter from AMAZON.com..

There was a CHECK in it..

    ROYALITIES! :ahhh: :ahhh: :ahhh:

Ok, only 70 cents, which based on the pricing setup means exactly 7 people bought it.. but..

IT'S AN EFFING ROYALTY CHECK! :cheese:

Cash it, HELL NO! I'm going to laminate this, and the next time someone tells me nobody will buy my writing, I'm going to smeck then in the face with it (smeck smeck smeck)!

I suddenly feel VERY encouraged to write... :red: :red:

Sorry, I know, it's such a tiny thing but to me it's a huge victory over massive odds and against some serious inner challenges... :red: :red:

Will put a pic up tomorrow, I have the Captain Morgans open and the Diet Coke ready! :cheese:

...cool and congrats. Being a writer can be a hard and oft thankless job but even small victories like this make it worth it.

Not sure how I will yet present my story as it does tie in heavily with the Shadowrun RPG world and I don't have the resources to deal with any copyright/trademark implications that may arise.

    Thanks... :red:

Best of luck with your works! Yeah, copyright stuff can be a real issue sometimes...

I am going to wait for the bus soon.

...I seem to spend more time waiting for the bus than actually actually riding the bloody thing.

Last night:'s commute (we got out early):

    38 min waiting (28 of which was for a 3 - 4 min ride) .
    28 min riding

Way too tired to walk the mile home from the other bus I could take which involves a steep hill with the walkway covered in slippery wet leaves.

If I get out at the normal time of 22:00, the wait time zooms up to just over an hour total for about the same amount of "riding time" as the bus that goes by the workplace doesn't arrive until 22:26.

Bread makers make house smell good :)
    ...indeed.

When I was growing up the house always smelled of fresh baked breads, cakes or various pastries. Both grandad and mum were excellent bakers

The Yule holidays were a very special time and the aroma of the various baked treats that filled the air seemed to do more to chase the winter chill away than the coal (yes coal) fired furnace in the cellar.

snifffff ahhhh. home made french toast with home made bread. home made pbj. cinnamon raisin toast

thought about getting one of those coffeemakers with the timer. program it the night before, wake up to fresh brew aroma.

if i ever win lotto, gonna open up a muffin bakery called the luv'n oven

...if I ever win lotto, I'll retire and never have to stand around on street corners waiting for buses that are late or don't show up anymore.

...I'll also have that duo 12 core (hyperthreading) workstation with 768GB RAM, an nVidia Quadro K6000 GPU (with 12GB VRAM), and Tesla compute unit.

Then I'll be ready to tackle animation.

...ohh and that cool three keyboard & pedal virtual pipe organ console that I posted pics of a while back.

...as well as all the appropriate software to use both of the above with.

Had the hardest time to load the forums. Safari could not find the network. Mind you, I could browse and view other websites so I didn't lose Internet signal, so I have no idea why it was just Daz it couldn't find

...I kept getting timeout errors trying to open forum posts this morning.

...ahh nine pages of catchup finally done (and none spilled on the shirt).

    End of spammage for today.

    Complaints:

--Have to leave a bus earlier than usual to make my connection adding another 20 min to the commute (and they have the nerve to call themselves the "Nation's Best Transit system").
--Autumnal aches and pains returning with a vengeance.

    Non Complaints:

    --Payday tomorrow
--Three paycheques this month, should be caught up financially by the beginning of November.
--Will have Net from home again this weekend (yay!)
--Weather to improve starting today. Will be sunny and in the low 80s this weekend and 70s through the next week.
--May go to German pub on Saturday to have my own "Oktoberfest".

i'm guessing triffids aren't public domain, but maybe trifid is? there's a trifit nebula.

was thinking of keeping commander kracken, and change the kraken tentacles and hags to a trifid tentacles and hags.

I wish I could spend that kind of money on a single item, I'd get it. But that's too much right now.

Is the lite version included in DS 4.6 Pro? I can't seem to find an answer to that question no matter where I look. :blank:

    Dana

It should show up on a tab next to the Timeline tab. But you don't need animate2 to animate something, use poses and the timeline tab old school instead :)

Thanks. Yeah, I don't have aniblocks, so I'd use the regular timeline anyway. I might have a couple of free aniblocks, that's it.

Blech, chilly, pouring rain, want to sleep now.. urgh.

Got a demon for Genesis for four bucks! Yep, I still use V5 and M5, they continue to be valuable.

Going to go ahead and get the Gianni Pro bundle tomorrow and fill in with some pretties for Aiko, she's tired of having Vickys stuff dumped on her. Finally Mike will shut up about his lack of toast. :blank:

I think that will do for all the major characters, good and some of the evil as well. :vampire:

Taking half a day off tomorrow to shop, I'm out of un-hole-y socks (lol) and down to two pairs of undies. :red: and will price warm coats as WINTER IS COMING. :gulp:

EDIT: thanks for the thought Cho - the only consolation is the rumour that there may be a version 3 upgrade price (there certainly wasn't one for owners of the last version here, v1.25 >:-( ... ah well, c'est la vie -_-).

To be honest, I've thought of getting Reality but I'm too impatient when I render. If it's for my story, i get irritated if it takes an hour to render one whole scene. (I had to swap out the sky once Sam got to the grassy clearing because the original sky took an hour and a half to render and the twenty minutes once it got to the ground). Even when it's to be a nice one shot scene, I'll set it up to render while I sleep. And if it is still rendering when I wake up, unless it's like 90% done, I'll kill the render and change my lights.

That makes me wonder about this month's PC Freebie. Does Universal know about it, or do they think they changed it enough?
