In the old gallery, I could type Horo or mermaid010 into the search box and I got into their galleries. How can I find Horo or mermaid010 in the updated gallery?

There is no such search (yet?) at the moment, which is why i ask updating gallery links in signatures or posting links to them here.

Chohole and others posted about search and other functions in this https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/472221/new-daz-3d-gallery-launches#latest thread that is readable by DAZ staff.

I thought there is a method to get to the gallery of a specific member. With the example of Horo, it works like this: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/category/horo. For Slepalex it works, but only leads to 4 renders visible. For me, or mermaid010, you get 'this page does not exist'. Perhaps Horo and Slepalex have created their username also as tag and used it in some cases? Hpowever it does not work for every user. Therefore, linking to your gallery, which leads to the user gallery page (in my case: https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/user/6577818880180224) in your footer is important. From the forums and the link in someones contribution, you get to their gallery.

I too miss the Search feature in the new gallery. An imo essential feature for its usability. Let's hope this will get implemented asap.

Search is supposed to be coming "soon" - let us hope it will.

Very interesting! And if a person does not participate at all in the forum, but he has a gallery? How do I find it? Answer: no way.

The easiest way is to click on 'my Bryce Gallery' in mermaid010's signature.  It's right above your post here.  Horo has a link in his signature too.   I don't know how to do it from the main gallery.

I also can not figure out how to find the Bryce gallery.  I would like to post on Bryce images but there's no way to separate them.

Hopefully things will get better with the search, in the meantime Akmerlow's suggestion is the best... to include Bryce or Bryce3d or both in the tags.

Mermaid010, where can I use the tags to locate images?  If I tag my image as 'bryce' where can I do a search for Bryce images?  All I can see is catergories.

Akmerlow posted a way to see them in the 1st post https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/category/bryce3d

    https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/category/bryce

I also found that it's hard to know which images I liked, if I already liked an image and forgot and like it again, I get a message,

"Do you want to remove your 'like' ...." not sure if this makes sense.

    What if Corel Bryce 5?
In general, this is called scratching the left ear with the right hand.
But how can I find works by estevez

Slepalex: you are completely right. It is ridiculous that we cannot search for a user gallery. If a user did not tag their render 'bryce-wise', I have no clue how to find it. This should be top priority for DAZ.

  • Hullo, how's it going?

Havnae been on this forum in ages, but saw this thread and thought I'd post a link to my album -

    https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.6164630067&type=3

Most of them are rendered in Bryce with a wee bit of post work in Photoshop

Let me know if the link doesnae work

    Cheers

You have very nice renders there, Akeel

Nice page Akeel, it works fine.

  • Thanks guys

  • Can anyone tell me what might have gone wrong here?

It took my iMac 6 days to render this: just a terrestrial looking planet, just a texture wrapped around a sphere, document size 1200x1200 - nothing fancy, one rotation in 18 seconds at 30fps so about 540frames in total.

The terestrial looking shot is what it's supposed to look like, blue oceans, green/brown land, nreatly centred in the frame. The other two monstrosities are what it produced after about 6 days of rendering. Can anyone out shed some light as to why this has happened?

I'm running Bryce 7 Pro under WINE on my iMac running system 10.13 High Sierra

I can't help at all but I can commiserate.  I sometimes start a render and it goes on for days for no apparent reason.

Still hoping much for bringing back important functions, like:

    - Search within picture name/description and search within artist name

    - Sort pictures within displayed range by date and by likes number

    - Filter out with week, month, year, all time

All of above was in old gallery, and added much to user experience.

I'll add to change the heart color after you Liked an image, it's hard to tell if you already liked an image, unless you clicked on it.
