I've always avoided Belfry Hair because of the weird look, until I read the description and found out that it actually includes a "normal" version that looks quite good.  The bangs just look a bit thin but after playing a bit with different hair shaders I found out that you can fix that with UHT2.  Just apply the UHT2 texture you want, set UHT2 Cutout to 4 and maybe play a bit with the Tile presets (first blonde render uses Tile 01 (default), the second Tile 10).  The first brown is using the original texture, the second UHT2.

@taoz  You definitely fixed the thin problem, looks much better.

I just picked these up in the sale using the clocks as the new item and getting 3 items for 80% off. I don't know if that 3% thing kicked in or not, I know I had one day that met the criteria and just didn't pay much attention. If you picked up Topsy for 10.00 you could get her tonight for 6.29 but I just read the ad and you can't get the difference as the promo says can't be used to get a previously owned item at a lower price. I'm not a huge Topsy fan but will try mixing her in with some other morphs, and got two characters for her so it was worthwhile.

Oof. Super couldn't afford to make this purchase right now, but I couldn't let it pass.

I'm pretty happy with the haul. Now to download all 12 GB of it.

Omg. That's a screamin' deal. Looking forward to your mermaid renders!

I think I prefer the style of the Laguna tail, but at the very least, it will give me more variety for different types of merfolk (and I definitely won't miss the hassle of tweaking it to work with an 8.1 figure). Also, because I never bothered to fit the Laguna tail to a male figure, now I've got options for the mans as well.

Um, I am not going to link to the product (because with the daz deals plugin forum comments get linked on the product page) but is that Doberman supposed to be grossly exaggerated with that fur product just released? It absolutely does NOT resemble that breed. It looks nothing like real fur (nor does the Dachshund) and looks like fantasy fur. Was that the intention? Several of the other dog images look plausible, but those two do not IMO. I know fur is a hard thing to tackle, but that Dobie looks...weird.

It's possible that a couple of the more outlandish ones are meant to keep the polygons low for easy rendering, and Oso just didn't think to label them as such. I love all his other fur products, so I'll probably end up grabbing this, too. I hope he makes a coat for horses, too.

I was on the fence about Coral's tail, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I will probably give her wider hips and a bigger butt when I get her though.

The dog fur looks pretty good to my eyes. But I've never owned a dog or know much about them.

So ... they just reformatted the forums, changed the default font and made everything more spaced out, right? It's not just me?

Also, a description is now apparently required to post an image to the gallery.

Also the Product Library. For me, it seems to be harder to read because of my eyesight and old prescription.

Glad I dropped in - I was worried it was just me too. I thought maybe I'd done something stupid with my browser, but then noticed it was only the Daz3D site that had changed.

I bought Oso's Dog Fur and tested it on my recently purchased Baxter and used the fur material preset for the French Bulldog. My experience with Bulldogs extend to being loved on by the ones in my complex, so I am not sure if this is too much fur or not. But I think this little guy just is cute enough and looks like he has fur I could feel.

@memcneil70  thanks for showing that :)   How is Bugsy doing?

I think I actually like the new font. Haven't looked at the product library yet though

Bugs got his stiches out yesterday. He is more mellow and just growled at a husky puppy who is still in that 'wild, jumpy' phase, and the puppy sat back. Then as Bugsy headed down the sidewalk, guess who got with the program for walking on a leash! Bugsy is walking so fast now, that I almost have to jog to keep up to him when he gets going.

Of course his fur looks crazy with patches shaved out and all. And he is too smart and susses out how we are giving him his medicine within a few days, so I need to dream up new ways.

I use Pedigree canned dog food- the filet mignon or the beef and vegetable ones. :)

I think it's OK too.  They used to use Gotham (a very much used font on the web, but also a very expensive one) for the Product Library (and also for the Product Pages AFAIR).

Wow! I'm obviously now buying enough of the right products! When I put Cora 8.1 Mega Bundle in my card it stays at the same stubborn $93 & change despite my PC+ and other products in the cart.

Be sure and note Amanda Mai is in Fast Grab and comes with a luxury office which has day and night settings for the lighting. Worth a look at 70% off. :)  I won't use Amanda's skin but the poses will come in handy. (20 poses for this specific set. Nice!)

Thanks for the tip! The office looks good.

@nath  You're welcome. I noticed a video explaining how to achieve the lighting is mentioned too. Hadn't seen that before in other products (probably just never noticed, I am SO bad at reading what's included once I see something I like.)

I hear you on the needing to read descriptions - just ended up returning the Gelatoo Lovers product since I didn't notice it was Obj only. I did try it first in both Blender and Studio, but couldn't get anywhere near the promo images (and I have an ice-cream material in Blender anyway, as well as several ice-cream products for Studio - if I need to I can make the wonderful 'dropped' or 'melting' look myself, probably faster than getting the materials to work).

Oh wow, I didn't notice that either. I had it wishlisted and will go undo that right now!

I've started a complete re-install/re-organise of my Studio* runtime(s) - it's fun to play with the older stuff, and I've already rendered things I don't think I've even opened before blush Also, I'm splitting up the G8F characters so I can finetune what I want installed at any time, and hopefully reduce load times.

I've already cleared up one issue where an expression set ended up in my G8F morphs - not sure if it's an error in the expressions, or something I did when I saved those particular characters (FIY, it's the "Z Drunk and Hungover - Poses with Partials and Expressions for Genesis 3 and 8").

    * I'm leaving the Poser runtimes alone; I don't have Poser installed at the moment and I only use those runtimes to import things into Studio when needed.
