Have any of you played SkyRay Worlds - Complete World Builder or the Ancient Mystic Ruins?  Those are 70% off right now, btw. I'm resisting the urge to buy, as I haven't rendered anything in about a year. But if you have experience with these, may help other folks. They're a good deal.

Thanks Novica, I have SkyRay Worlds... but I have had Ancient Mystic Ruins on wishlist. So today is the day. I love the Magix101 sets and use them (when I get a chance to render), along with USC2. Both have elements that are perfect for different uses.

My son just shared this- hilarious!  Cyclist gets examined by a family of skunks!

Cute! I was waiting for the spray but they were just curious... and off they go.

Those skunks are so... Adorable. I admit, I love skunks- from afar.

I did not love having my front porch sprayed. I'm still smelling it 3 months later, due to it sinking into the concrete.

You too! :)   Thanksgiving was okay, my eldest son is down from Oklahoma helping to paint our Pensacola house and help load boxes. Still haven't moved to the St Augustine house. First year without Mom (image 68 years and this is the first time my Mom isn't on this planet with me for Thanksgiving.)  Hope everyone is staying warm and enjoying the hobby of rendering which is done from our warm, toasty homes. I haven't done it in over a year, don't know if I'll get back to it. But we'll keep in touch and feel free to share any products you really are enjoying.

BTW, go to the Cincinnati Zoo Facebook and watch Rico eat. SO funny. It's down a bit on Nov 28th. I check in at least twice a week to see their posts. Just makes me smile!

Okay, here's another one- those scary crocodiles aren't so scary from under the water!

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,896

BTW  Rico is a Brazilian Porcupine. I looked it up.

What a blessing to have your biggest baby back for awhile and to have kept your mom for so long! I thought your new fancy house was why you weren't rendering/posting, but you haven't moved yet? I know you're probably asleep now, but thanks for the critter video links. I just watched Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and cried several times like a sap over the cute critters. Rico is so sweet. And the underwater part of the crocodile is not the problem! Back to lurk mode.

Hi Novica, glad to hear from you. Those skunks were cute and reminded me of my Girl Scout leader's son's pet skunk. It had its scent package removed and was as soft as a cat and friendly. I had totally forgotten about it.

Holidays are tough after a recent loss, but use them to collect beloved memories of your mother from everyone and get them down in writing or on tape so you can pass them down the generations. Those special days still trigger me decades after their passing.

Hey again, here's a baby wombat. And they posted more on Rico on the Cincinnati Zoo FB page (linked above.)  Getting his exercise. I love how his hand grips the edge of the running wheel and THAT TAIL!

You HAVE to see this. Start at minute 13 to see a Magpie (definitely not a crow, I THINK it's a magpie?) solve 9 incredible puzzles!!!

If you have Instagram, this guy ran different routes and kept his app screenshots to create something really cool!  Took 10 months. Gone viral, as it should.

I think it is a crow, or close, they do sometimes get white feathes - the pattern isn't right for a magpie, and magpies have distinctively long tails.

Looks like an African Pied Crow.

Cool!  I'd only seen the solid black ones.

@Novica, Regardless of what that feathered Einstein's proper designation is, she (Cheryl) is either highly trained or a genusis. I am impressed.

    Thanks

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!  May your day be filled with smiles, family, friends- whatever you want your day to be.
It's my first Christmas in 68 years without Mom. She had 96 Christmas days, and this is her first as an angel. That's what Christmas is often symbolized with, so it's perfect for today. Thinking about all of you today!

    Merry Christmas!

    @Novica I know the feeling...

Merry Christmas Novica! You do have an angel watching over you.

We had an unexpected holiday gift. Our youngest daughter is visiting from Washington state (we live in Ohio) and her water broke at 7 months. Quite the excitement when that happened. Our grandson was born a few hours later. Mom and baby are doing fine except the baby has up to 8 weeks in the NICU. Fortunately, the hospital is only 5 miles/20 minutes away so our daughter, son-in-law, and we can visit easily..SIL is also able to take up to 12 weeks paternity leave so that will  help a lot as we wait for the baby to develop enough and figure out how to get them all back home.

    Enjoy the holidays.

Merry Christmas! & Happy New Year!

Sorry about this being your first Christmas without your mom.

And congratulations to RGCincy being a grandfather.

Happy Christmas Novica. You know your mother is with a gathering of angels every day now and watching over you and your family.

@RGcincy, Congratulations! What a wonderful surprise for your family. You will see that the nurses in the NICU are angels too. My granddaughter had two visits in her first month of life to one when her older siblings brought home viruses from school.
