Wasn't my intention to hurt any feelings. I was just always told to go conservative to a job interview. So didn't think it was quite appropriate. Still, standards, tastes, and opinions vary... (Oh, and I'm male, so I wouldn't wear it for any occasion.)
I'm in the weird cross section between tech and art known as 'kinda graphic designer web coder'...
Its always odd - you can lose opportunities in this business by dressing too well. But you also know if you dress like it was a 'workday' you might never make it past the HR person who usually dresses 30-years behind the rest of the staff.
Its pretty common for me to show up in an interview in slacks and a polo shirt and feel way way way overdressed, and have someone even comment to that effect... but since this is also a business where 80% of the jobs are contract work - I've gotten good at talking past that.
In one job, I felt kind of conservative in my 'fashion' while wearing tight neon green jeans and a tie-dyed t-shirt... One of which I got as a cast off from one of the artist guys. :)
(sigh... I wish I could still fit into those jeans... though I don't own them anymore.)
But I've also got the suit and tie in the closet, because sometimes you get that B2B website and one of the clients is East Coast or something.
I think the name of the outfit was definitely "tongue in cheek". And its interesting how for some people and places it would be perfect, and others it would pretty much end the interview.
...for me clothes almost doesn't matter anymore. I could show up in 500$ tailored business suit (with the right shoes) and a 100$ professional looking hair cut & style yet still most likely not get hired.
Now if I could only look, say, 30 years younger, then I feel I'd have a much better chance. I never put a photo of myself on LinkedIn or any of the other "headhunter" sites, also I avoid putting anything on my resume on that could easily give way how old I am so I can at least get to the interview stage before they reject me because of my age (that is why I so dislike the "chronological resume" format and standard job application).
The outfit would be overdressed for where I live unless you worked at a club or something. It looks to me more like dinner date kind of outfit than business attire. I realize that is a regional thing, so what is fashionable certainly various.
But what I wear for work is jeans and a hoodie. I work in a call center in an old former military base basement. So I'm not a fashion plate- and no one cares either.

Oh, I never doubted your intentions. It was clearly meant tongue in cheek and I don't believe for a moment you or anyone else intended to hurt anyone's feelings. I was just putting myself in the PA's shoes and thought about how bad I might feel reading this thread. I know Mada personally, but not the other artist. Mada has a thick skin and could likely see the humor intended. Don't know about bucketload3d, though.
Thanks for earlier MJ, glad you like that pic. :)
Yes, hopefully no feelings are hurt because of this thread. I think everyone who's commented would still agree that it is a good-looking and useful outfit.
still no sitting pose pic
I really want to see how this dress works in that position
is it able to do that ?
I not bought but maybe a Sharon Stone interview?

is a quite nice sexy dress nobody questioning that.
Yeah, I don't think anyone is knocking the actual product, it's really nice. Looks like the skirt is rigged really well from the promos. And the shrug and pumps are great classic kit-bash pieces. The necklace looks pretty nice too from what I can see... I wish there was a closer render of that on the promos.
Some might say that it's always a mistake to quote LeatherGryphon. Your mother warned you about sympathetic jumping off of bridges.
And besides, it scares the hell out of him!
I just remembered something: I was watching Court TV or something similar. A woman was wearing a low-cut shirt and a short skirt like that outfit to court. Just saying. So yes, some women do wear low cut outfits in public. I don't think she was wearing a business jacket.
lol - I'm happy to see the outfit got some attention :P
I beg innocence on the name, I had a boring title (Outfit No.45) and it got renamed along the way to something else. The outfit is based on what 20 year olds here wear going out for a night on the town (Sydney).
I'm posting a closer view of the necklace. The texture is a quicky I made, not sure if it got included in the final product. I can upload to freebies if anyone is interested :)
Thanks! It's gorgeous. I really don't have a need for clothes but I'll buy it for the necklace 'cause my Gene can never have enough bling. =)

I don't see that texture set in the promos, so if you're willing to share it I'd be interested :)
...I'm the opposite, I cannot get enough nice looking contemporary clothes for my gals and this is so welcome. Will be perfect for an evening of pubbing in London as well.

I feel misunderstood
A quick render of a sitting pose. :)
I would love to get those extra textures you previewed in your earlier post. They're apparently not included in the basic set, nor the HR set either. Here's another quick render of a sitting pose using V6 HD. The dress behaves quite nicely when sitting, even when using the longer skirt morphs.
And yes, Sharon Stone-esque renders are quite possible too, since it doesn't cling-film around the legs. At least, not with any of the morphs it's designed for.
I was about to say that ;-)
I think it's pretty funny that the symbol for "male" is a Shield and a Spear, and symbol for female is a Mirror.
I see stiff toast and a keyhole
Hey guys! I heard this was the newest "beat the dead horse" thread! I brought my bat, where is the sucker?!
What is a bat compared to Chohole's club?
I'm poor, all I've got is a cheepo Walmat bat D:
Just so you know, Vampires despise the derogatory terms "bat" and sucker", and I suspect some of our mods may be "them."
Nope, they're a balloon shooting an arrow and a lollipop with footrests.
Never buy a bat at WalMart. You'll get a much better product for almost the same price at " Chiroptera R Us.
...I've got genuine Louisville Slugger.

And I thought you were just happy to see me.
