Shame... The explanation is much appreciated, though.

Maybe someone will eventually create a more versatile geo-grafted tongue, so that such radical alterations are possible. The only issue would be in how to make sure the original then doesn't show through.

I was thinking of doing geografted but for practical reasons, the figures tongue was good enough. Eg. easy to apply materials, already has 6 bones and has Pose control morphs already provided. Most importantly, works with current expression morphs and presets. I did a comparison list and Geografted was only more beneficial with more fantasy type styles, but for humans, the base tongue was more than enough to work with.

It occurs that I haven't seen any postings here in a while. When will this masterpiece be released? Soon Soon? Or Later soon. =-)

In the meantime, I started work on the mouth slime project. Still have to create the posable and morphable drops that will go with this. Here is a quick vid showing how the slime area follows the mouth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZ0yUX_2s2k&list=UU5VoQiKT9oW-P-1e8moi2YQ

I attached a quick transmap test. Basically with this I can also create membranes with rips in them and all that stuff. It automatically adjusts to any figure shape, which is really cool. Will also be including a few morphs such as skew so it will have more flexability.

Amazing work! Surprised Daz haven't bought you out yet... :)

Am assuming there'll be a variety of colours/textures, to simulate saliva, blood, green/yellow slime/mucous and so on?

Not sure if it would be possible, but a similar product to give an illusion of sticky fluids expanding between limbs, jointed at elbows/knees/finger joints, would also be very useful for horror/science-fiction (especially figures getting out of cryotubes and such).

Lol Thanks. Yes there will be a variety of textures:) Will try to cover as much as I can. And with regards to sticky fluids expanding between limbs It is possible. Almost like the membrane between the dragons wing bones. I will ask some of the clothing PA's if they will take that on. Sounds like a fun thing to have. Don't think I have time to do that myself as I have other projects looking at me funny, asking when will they be finished lol.

I could see a brown colour being useful for children being depicted eating chocolate, maybe. And green slime and yellow honey doubling up for cough syrup medicine, too. And the possibilities for combining it with the Creature Creator sets are endless. As many uses as Orestes' Cobwebs, basically!

Membranes, too! Yes! I could see a 'smooth' version for making those and one with saliva-like rips, to simulate stickiness with fluid.

Jo Lab did some incredibly realistic customised saliva dripping props for their newest creature's tongue. I'd love for someone to be able to create something like that, but would imagine, even for your upcoming tongue product, it would be a whole different ball game to simply stretching anchor-points between lips.

    Sure!

Pages two and three have their customised tongue saliva drool props shown. None were ultimately included with the product, however.

Man Zev, you constantly come up with interesting things, I didn't know I wanted or needed. =-) Any chance of tears at some point?

Man, hadn't noticed the worm drool before. Thanks for pointing that out. =-)

The challenge I have with water props is that they look too solid... Like gel rather than water. I have to usually rely on brushes yto get more of a watery look.

The one water-based prop I would love available in the store and is still absent, is something to create the illusion of wakes and movement in water. You just can't successfully give an impression of motion to something like a boat or dorsal fin without it. Everything looks slow and static.

I was thinking of tears for a while but then I saw one released here in the store which is quite nice http://www.daz3d.com/actual-tears

With regards to water or liquid props, it can be done if the scaling is right and paired with the right shader. So I will be trying to achive the same or similar style shown here https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/images/23703/

Sometimes post work is just simpler. There are quite a few good water splash brushes that would give superior results compared to a water prop. Not saying water props can't give good results, it just takes more effort to look natural lol.

I haven't been able to find a good brush for water that is split because say- a person is standing in rapids. Most brushes seem more about splashing from a sideways kind of view.

Whenever I use a water plane, if a person is actually standing in the water the water surrounds the leg like thick jello Unless it is from horizion view.

Interesting I actually have the crying product but haven't used it. I'll have to dig it out.

I still think there may be a market for more tear products though.=-)

    Uurgh! I hate you!

Also, sold. Anything that causes that kind of reaction deserves a place in my runtime. :p

The tongue is going to have a lot of versatility and usefulness too. Can't wait for that item to show up in the store.

Hopefully they will offer a discount on your store too. =-)

Hey, I just noticed this has an adjustment slider for uvula size! Isn't that on the other end of the body?

Oh, wait, having a dyslexic moment. ;-)

On the other hand, it DOES give me a great idea for what your next project should be.

I've posted two entries to the contest thread already. Needless to say, it's going to get a lot of use in my runtime... but someone needs to invent a better way to organize morph dials, as I'm having trouble remembering everything I have, what they do and where they are. It seems like I read somewhere about a way to move dials around, but I can't remember how.
