Please take a look at the internal structure of "My DAZ 3D Library" screenshot below. The two (as I understand it) entries for runtime and data are sitting right there but I don't know if all the other files are correct or should be there. I also attach a screen shot of the DS content library - which may shed some light on the "My DAZ 3D Library" structure. I must admit I'm totally confused by this - I've been using Poser for 18 years (maybe that's the problem) and cannot figure the logic in DS and install manager and how it gets stuff to Poser. Any help please - please. Another question are Genesis 2 morph packs supposed to be usable with V^? and if so how does one access them?

Another variable - which I do not understand - what should the settings/path be for DSON Importer prefs - 'Writable Runtime folder' screenshot of my current setting attached - it occurs to me that this maybe should be MY DAZ 3D library?

ALL Poser content is installed into the Runtime folder inside My DAZ 3D Library, (unless you tell it to install somewhere else). It really is that simple. It is just a Runtime folder, like any other, Poser can use it, and so can DAZ Studio. ONLY Poser content goes in there, CR2, PP2, PZ2 etc etc.

DAZ Studio content (DUF, DSA, DSB, DSE etc etc) will NOT appear in the Runtime folder inside DAZ Studio, but will be seen ONLY when you select DAZ Studio Formats.

I have no idea what has gone wrong with your content install to My DAZ 3D Library, but what you appear to have showing, is the Runtime folder pretending to be DAZ Studio Format :)

There must be an error with the way you have the paths listed in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager, can you please post a screenshot of that page, showing the expanded listings for both formats.

The rest of your My DAZ 3D Library looks almost the same as mine, so assuming the correct content is in the correct folders, it should work OK.

For Poser using the DSOM Importer the folders that matter are the \Data and \Runtime folders, which have the geometry, morphs and rigging (\Data) and the textures and library files (\Runtime). Ignoring the Readme's and Documentation folders the rest are the native DAZ Studio files, which aren't bound to a Poser-like library structure.

The writable Runtime is fine like that - it's just a folder you can write to (that is create and edit files in) in which the importer creates temporary files.

Your Content Library pane would look right if the Poser Formats entry was highlighted, I really don't know how you could have Poser-like library folders showing with the DAZ Studio Formats top-level entry highlighted. Your directory set-up looks right.

Could it be there from all the previous messing around. Is there a way to wipe the content library and start installing everything from scratch?

I still cannot install Daz content with install manager. I am pretty sure there is something messed up in "MY DAZ 3D library" structure - I attach the library structure in 3 parts because it's so long - and the My DAZ 3D library page and content within it. I just hope you can see something glaringly wrong because I am totally mystified and confused after weeks of this.

You should definitely NOT have a folder called 'Content' inside you My DAZ 3D Library folder.

Everything that is inside the folder called Content, should be merged directly into the My DAZ 3D Library folder, in other words, everything in 'Content' should all be moved up one level.
