Hello Alessandro. I have finally got around to rendering one of the cubs. They sure give my system a workout lol. This is rendered in octane. There is some sss for the body texture, then tweaked an octane hair shader to get it white. The environment is the Winter Terrains with a snow shader. Took about an hour and a half with 2000 samples. Only used one of my cards so I could do other things while it rendered lol.

Great render Sorel, I can imagine how massive the process must have been: the bear cubs have a lot of fur so I believe you probably ended up with a 2-3GB OBJ file. Brilliant result!

Wow, very beautiful, is this rendered in DAZ Studio? And thanks to you and all the nice folks around here for supporting my products.

Yes, it is a render with 3DLight in DAZ Studio. I used Ocean Wide and the Ground Shader for DAZ Studio (Ice and Snow).

    Alessandro,

More temple frolics. This is wonderful pose, the bear looks adorable from almost any angle.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

I've used a few of your animals but have taken them over to Bryce :-)

I used the bear cubs in this one.

First attempt at rendering the black bear cub in iray :)
My poor little system couldn't handle the full hair count so I had to adjust that. (used 300000, 500 root and 200 tip)
converting to obj took a couple of minutes, and the iray render was fast (under 10 minutes on my modest laptop)
Getting the shaders right took more time and I know I could do better.
For the eyes I used the iray thin water shader, and made some adjustments to the fur.
The claws need work as they look too bright right now.
Such a cute little bear. Thank you Alex
