A work wagon that could use a harness: https://www.daz3d.com/suffolk-wagon

It is possible to attatch the harness to this work wagon. Some tweaks to make and a morph to build for it. I put it in my list. Even if this harness is not a for heavy load (see before), it is always interresting to get at least one harness to connect then none. A neutral leather texture is foreseen for these cases.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before and I didn't see it - would it maybe be possible to create a harness attachment for the newer gypsy wagon? (https://www.daz3d.com/ornate-wagon) It's probably hard because there are really no points to attach and such, but it would make the whole thing soooo much more realistic and versatile! Maybe you could give it a try ...?

  • Stagecoach setup would look nice.

I think that this beautifull piece is not forseen to travel, not way to make it turn, no way to attach any horse. It is certainly a question to ask to the designer.

Yes certainly but on this picture these are hard work harnesses. Nice, I pick it up to complete my documentation

  • +1 for your version of World Travels

Is the accessories list an aside? I'd throw my gold at a plain ol' halter and leadrope; any new tack, really. The harness work looks gorgeous. Any chance it will come with hideable blinkers and <cough-cough> a shortened version of reins?

The list of accessories is in my work book where I add what is not already in according what people proposes in this discussion. About the blinkers etc, I just post a WIP screenshot of the actual "Shapes" actor command of the harness. of course this is not the definitive. I hope it answers your question.

Oh definitely World Travels, and Boundless Journey. Both are ancient, and uselss for animations since I don't see any way that they could turn. But they make great scene dressing.

I've made in the past a more complete version of the World Travels. It took me some time to find it back and some minor changes I've modeled at that time make it turn... I don't know if DAZ would be interrested to upgrade this little juwel and, by the way, get a Daz Studio Version of it.

That's beautiful. I hope DAZ goes for it.

Just wanted to drop in and say I appreciate all of the work you're putting into this, @3djoji, and will surely buy it when released - cheers!

Pity, I'm voting for World Travels and Boundless Journey then! Thanks for taking the time to inspect the ornate wagon though.

I seem to have bought the version of Doctor Cab already updated.

I found one more thing I would love to see, maybe as another product - harnesses for this horse: https://www.daz3d.com/steampunk-horse

have you actually loaded and tried to use that thing?

it has no articulation other than swinging the legs a small amount

    it cannot even walk

To be checked because, if this is true, it is not a good news.

Yes, I have it and I am aware of the limited posing options, but it is still a great horse for non-animated renders.

I am attaching a Daz Studio screenshot showing the maximum posing available.

  • Love what you're doing!  Any chance we could eventually get a dog sled harness? Something like below? Thanks!

I'm guessing a set for Tilbury Mood | Daz 3D is a given?

The Tilbury mood will shortly have a DazStudio version and new Iray textures set. Of course the harness will have a fit control for my own carriages : the Doctor Cab, The Hearse and the Tilbury Mood.

That is fantastic news, @3djoji! Your models are awesome, but being able to attache them to a horse is make them useful without having to resort to tricky camera angles, etc. I will add my voice to the folks who would like to see more harnesses and tackle. Thank you for picking this project back up! :-)

The new upgrade to Tibury Mood is wonderful 3djoji. They are in my wish list. When I saw the iray version my first thought was of a scene in "The Quiet Man".

The carriage is in my cart as it looks good. Glad to hear that there should be a harness.

One by One : Omnibus is no problem for single horse. For more horses, 2,4 6 etc, I've to pose the beam. I will do it.

My first thought was that an Omnibus filled with people would really need 4 horses, but looking at the historical photos of them, it seems it was almost always just the two horses, poor things!

You might also want to consider the following:

    https://www.daz3d.com/old-timer

I know the Horse drawn carriage already comes with a harness, but I imagine yours will be better quality.

The US carriages probably had four horses due to the very long distances they would need to travel.

I would be very interested in versions for the RHS Stagecoach and Western Coaches. Harnesses for Centaur 3 would be very nice. The others you have planned sound interesting too. I realize these are all older products and understand if you don't want to include them.

"Older products" sound good for me because these are always on the road, they never become obsolete. Thank you for posting and Happy new year.

I'm still working on a harness for the DAZ Horse 2. This one is coming slowly due to the amount of morphs needed to get it as perfect as possible. I've designed some more accessories to connect to the carriages one, two 4 or more horses. Before releasing this item, have you any constrain I can include in it or some particular whishes? (e.g.: for a carriage, some decors etc)

Or may be just say : I'm not interrested at all...

Needed this for a long time....

No point in buying the carriages without it...

I don't know how much you're planning to devote to horse accessories, but I'd love some updated saddles for Horse 2 (and, obviously, centaur as well). The Daz horse tack is nearly ten years old at this point.

I find a special little carriage, the Hansom Cab for which I designed a special morphs and some Plug for the light Harness for Daz horse 2. If you have some carriages like this one to connect, I can prepare a base morph for them.

  • Very much interested and for all the carriages already mentioned.
