Hi Guys.
I am half way done with my next project and wanted to post some shots for viewing.
The hall will have two or more ways to set it up. Elegant 1 story and Opulent 2 story room.
Any Arch can have a wall, door, window panel or left open.
Thanks for looking.

This looks very impressive. Lots of detail, colour and nooks and crannies. I'm now going to ask an annoying question, however. Will it have Iray materials?
Cheers,
Alex.
Beautiful.
That is just stunning.
I've never made any Iray materials. They seem pretty easy to make if you have the right hardware, I'll have to look into it.
I have a feeling that I need an NVidia card for it to render for me. Currently I have an ATI.
It will be Poser, obj, and DS 4.6 for sure.
It is faster with a nvidia card but you can always run it on cpu. It will be slower but not too bad.
I'll give it a shot then. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
To slightly elaborate on Khory's point, you don't need an Nvidia card to run Iray or to develop Iray materials but your renders will go faster if you have one.
Studio 4.8 comes with a base Iray shader but it's very much a one size doesn't always fit all solution. There are several other shader presets included but these largely (not totally but largely) focus on metalics.
Cheers,
Alex.
Am I reading that right Will have poser files? SO happy
I develop in Lightwave, then do everything in Poser, then transfer it to DS. So yes I'll always have a poser version.
It is amazing. So many stuff to render so little time. Wow! This is great.
Will this also work in studio? I mainly use studio.
Wow that looks incredible.
That is toecurlingly gorgeous!
Finally got a chance to do some updates to my Borgias Opulent Hall. I'd like to get it out for the sale but I don't know if I'll make it.
This is the Poser version. Still need to do the DAZ version.
Hope you guys like it.
It's not super hard to adapt 3DL shaders to Iray. Just clicking Iray Uber Base will often get you most of the way there. But there are a few small things to adjust that aren't immediately obvious. Good luck!
Main thing would be make the lights emitters not that it is hard IMO for the user to do the Iray conversion anyway.
Is this set made up of modular components? Or is it in all one piece?
ETA: the description sounds like it's reasonably modular.
Hey! Finally got this done and will be released soon! Here's some new renderings.
Textures are updated for IRay.
Hope you guys like it.
Very nice, and very photoreal out of the box. I use octane though, but shouldn't be too hard to achieve the same look.
You really do need to add a mop to the package...otherwise the puddles of drool will get a bit more than annoying.
Do you use Octane right inside DS? I never tried Octane.
Thanks, glad you guys like it. It was fun to make.
The second image...the one looking down from the balcony is my favorite shot. Gives a good idea of the scale of this set.
Beautiful work!
Looks rather splendid :)
yeah I use the DS plugin. Most stuff like this converts over rather well with little tweaking. Can't wait till this is out.
Wishlisted - at least in my brain ... it looks wonderful!
Borgia Hall should be coming out this week or very soon. Yeah! I'm excited, it has been a long time in the making. You guys should be able to make some killer renders with this set and I'd love to see what you do with it.
Be careful what you wish for! Archmage Serena, of the sisterhood of scientist-magicians the Future Mages and widely regarded as the most fearsome sentient being in several universes, could decide to move in.
Cheers,
Alex.
looks nice but I have question, is this the only set or will there be add ons (extensions - rooms) for this set?
other thing, the wall and ceeling lights can they be hidden or removed? I would like to use this set as a roman villa or palace with other lights.
The Ceiling/lights are completely seperate and can easily be removed from the set.
Extensions. I had a few things in mind, but I'll have to see how popular it is.
Thanks!
