Sorry, my bad! You should still be able to do that if you move and scale the flame to stand on the candle if I understand the freebie correctly.

Someone here (I can't remember who) said they basically use an HDRI and one light for most of their scenes (interior and exterior), and I pretty much do the same.

For interior scenes you need to remove the ceiling and add some planes around the top of the walls so the light doesn't shine directly down them.

There's nothing quite like the high dynamic range lighting from a high quality HDRI compared to emisives or spots.

It contains several flames specifically candle-shaped in fact! But I remember having no budget and using freebies a lot back in the day, I completely get that. ;)
