The problem might be if a vendor actually did a really good likeness, said likeness might be chasing you with a lawyer in one hand and a cheque book in the other.
The legal ramifications are anything but settled on the issue. There's are discussions here and here. The laws is basicly a mess on the issue.
There are already plenty of photo realistic likenesses. I don't think we need legal discussion in this thread.
Seriously. Those threads always get derailed and even get locked sometimes.
I like it. Pretty close too. Perhaps a little emaciated in the face, but still a fairly good likeness. And while the textures on the outfit are a little basic it is just a WIP after all. I would echo the previous comments and say that I'd be interested in this figure as well once it's fully fleshed out.
As far as directions, I'd try Sickleyield on DA. They're a PA here but have some tutorials over there and may respond to questions as well.

Handler for Genesis 8 Male looks really familiar to me. I can't place it though. Could be just a coincidence. What do you guys think? Does he look familiar to you guys?
He could be just a completely unique figure with no likeness to anyone, but since I can't shake the feeling that the face is very familiar, I thought I'd get you guys' take on it. :)
Not in my eyes, although he looks if he could be in any number of new wave English bands from the '80s. I thought of Modern English although he doesn't particularly look like them from the music videos I've seen.

Maybe he reminds you of Wentworth Miller, who is known from Prison Break and as Captain Cold from the Flash. There is a slight resemblance there.

New Moon HD For Genesis 8 Female bears more than a passing resemblence to Emily Browning (making oblique reference to her character Laura Moon in American Gods).
Far better than the commercial contract I did.
