The fit control products are fantastic!  Really useful tools. But there is one fit problem that I'd love to find a solution to. That is correctly fitting boots/shoes and trouser legs with certain poses without poke through. This causes no end of problems because either the boots/shoes or the trousers legs don't have enough morphs to fit the trousers legs over or inside the boots.  Either I have to adjust the scale of the trouser shin region or do the same with the boots.  Please consider creating a script for both G2M and G2F that helps with this very difficult area. The same problem occurs with shirt hems and trouser waistbands - certain poses cause poke through. I would definitely buy any product that offers a solution to these problems.

Well with regards to shirt hems, I can pretty much remove the poke through with the morphs. There are a few hip adjusters included. Trousers I will look at. This product has an update that will come out a bit later so I will see what I can add.

I bought the product. It says to read the Product Tutorial on the page advertising the product. Where is the Tutorial? Also, I have trouble finding the product. Where is it installed? I can find it if I look under "Products" and "Fit Control," but I don't see it in the Scripts folder.

Tutorial is listed under the ReadMe's folder in your content directory. The product will be located under People\Genesis 2 Male\Clothing\Fit Control. And the G1 script will be listed Under People\Genesis\Clothing.

Ah, OK, thank  you, Zev0. I seem to be getting it working, even without reading the product tutorial, but I'm sure that I'll understand more if I do read the tutorial. Also, I couldn't figure out where to find the product. I thought it would be in the Scripts folder. But, yes, it is wonderful. I'm been wanting a product like this for ages.

I'm curious how this product does on body armor. I notice a lot of the chest hugging there. Would this be effective for making  a breastplate look lesser  chesty or  overly defined? I see it works on cloth, but most of my guys are wearing bodysuits and armor....

Well you can try and dial out the actual figure morph projected onto the armor (causing distortions if no fbm is supported) so it matches its default state, then use the fit control morphs to get it to fit the figure by adjusting the width and depth etc. This process is mentioned in the tutorial. The other method is to play around with the figure smoother morphs or you can do a combo of both techniques. Also there is a depth adjust morph that can reduce peck size.

Thanks for that! Perhaps you could release a seperate clothing adjuster for below the waist for both G2M & G2F? I'd definitely buy such a product because there are certain areas of the body, such as where trousers and boots/shoes meet, that are very difficult to fit clothing to with certain poses.

I noticed in the product details a smoothing morph for RawArt's Massive; will the female version get an update with a similar smoothing morph? It could be really uzeful.

Yes there will be a smoother update for the female version. Once this current project is complete I will update the female version to include some.

Awesome. I bought the male version yesterday, but I haven't been able to play with it yet (I'm still away at Pennsic). Since my main interest is superheroes, I use heightened musculature on both genders more than I probably would in other genres. The female version has been a great solution for getting a lot of clothing to look right, and I'm sure the male version will be equally useful.

Bought it, as well as the female version. Fit Control is what I desparately needed for all these ill-fitting clothes. Thanks!

It occurs to me that this product might be really useful for certain armors, since various straps and leather shouldn't hug curves.

I wasn't planning on the male version, because most of the characters I render are female. Of course, recently I've been needing to render SMay's Boris and Raw Art's Master Chen and it seems impossible to get covnentional outfits to fit them.

Looks as if this product came out in the nick of time!

I haven't tried this yet but I just installed it. I do manual installs, I have the female version as well and there are a lot of duplicate files between the two. I was expecting that, but I noticed a few files that have the same name but are different sizes so they are not the same files. Is there conflict here between the two versions? Should the male versions be allowed the replace the female ones?

The files I noticed are Front Down 1.dsf,  Front Down 2.dsf, Rear Down.dsf and Straighten Back.dsf.

The only overwriting taking place is the Genesis1 files. Some files of the same name in both versions are there, since both male and female versions use some of the same morphs. I could not release a male version and support G1 and expect those to have the morphs from the female version only. So I had to include them again for those who bought the male version, so both could stand on their own and isn't dependant on the other. The male specific morphs will just add to the list for G1, and those of the same name will just overwrite since on G1 they are unisex.

So is the Fit Control just for fitting garments to Genesis and Genesis 2? What if the garment was already made for Genesis 2? I think my garment already fit Genesis 2. But I believe the Fit Control has some morphs that the original garment may not already have. So maybe that is a reason for using it on genesis  and genesis 2 clothing?

The Fit Control morphs are for any clothing autofitted onto Genesis or Genesis 2. This product is mainly for clothing that do not contain supported fbm's or any form of customization eg No morphs. So say I fit a M4 clothing item onto G2M, and that clothing has no options, so now you are stuck with that. This product aims to give that item more fitting options. The morphs are universal and get copied onto any clothing that the figure is wearing. If that item already has adjustment or custom morphs, the Fit Control morphs will just be added to that list and can be removed if not needed. Hope that makes sense. So in a nutshell, this product will give any clothing fitted onto the figure additional morphs regardless if they they already have morphs or not. The product will make it's own Fit Control directory on the clothing where the product morphs can be accessed.

Both this and the G2F one are so helpful!  Now, if only someone would make something like this for SHOES!!!!  angry

... unless, of course, there is one and I just can't find it!  yes

Will this product loosen pant cuffs so they hang more straight (rather than clingy leggings)?

If not, any product that does?

(I'm planning on getting Fit Control regardless, just wondering)

In the meantime, if you have the Genesis supersuit, it can be used to make some pretty amazing modifications to existing outfits.  Tutorial here:

I do, and I keep forgetting to try that! Thanks for the reminder.

Wow. Normally I detest watching youtube tutorials, glad I did.

Among other stupid things, I had no idea you could set fit and collision to different items. Duh duh duh.
