Can't log into Daz Studio or Daz Installation Manager .... incorrect password

  • Did you manually type the password in on the Daz popup login. From the stored password? I know this is a common check, but figured would state it in case it slipped your mind when trying to log in, going through the motions of autoclicking the sign in cause it was stored.

    Yeah, same here. I'm simply trying to login to DAZ Central. I can type in my email address, but I only click on the password field and I get infinite spinner. I have force quit the app several times but it wont let me type a password. Infinite rainbow spinner.

    This same issue is happeneing to me now! I cant get into DazDIM although I reset my passowrd TWICE! For some odd reason, my old password wasnt working. Any ideas? I also need to redownload DazStudio (which I was trying to do through DazDIM) sad

    14:10 EST 2023-12-27 can not login into DIM.

     

    This issue raises my anxiety about these server side install managers. It reinforces my consideration to move back to manual installs. The only reason I moved to an install mangers was because the DAZ product library does not state when the files were updated. I would have to go the product documentation pages for each prodcut before I use it to see if my files are up to date.

    DAZ could learn a lot from how Renderosity offers their download library. I can sort the download list by date the files were updated. Renderosity have had a superior product library for over a decade and still DAZ has not caught up. Very disappointing.

    I can't login to DIM either. I had to log in twice to the website before it took my password. I tried typing the password it as well as copying it from my password manager. Neither works for DIM/

    Yup. There are also open threads on this elsewhere here. 2:15 pm Eastern US, in Firefox. DIM says incorrect password but it isn't and it frankly doesn't even look like it was trying to connect very hard; that response comes back FAST.

    Can't say whether this also affects trying to log in within Studio because I refuse to do that anymore.

    CORRECTION: It doesn't actually flat-out say incorrect password. It says "Unable to login to the specified account. Verify the email and/or password and try again."

    e.g. "Can't connect, what if it was your fault and not ours?" No, sweetie, your forums have been 502ing several times an hour for weeks, it's your servers. Buy a second hamster.

    Someone else said that was also the case in another section of the forums.

    When I open Daz Studio, it doesn't connect and when I click on the LOGIN button, it puts up a message that "Communication with Server Failed!"

    I did enter the correct details. I use 1Password to store passwords. I tried to reset the password and received the email link. I created a new password and received the same message. The new passwords were correct. I just keep getting that message fired back at me. It's really frustrating.

    However, rather oddly ... login appears to work if I follow a link in my browsers history. I am already logged in. And the session works ... but I can't log in again!? And I can't use the content manager, which is what I was actually in the process of doing when the issue occurred.

    I have already raised a ticket ... but am posting this as the response in email said support is office hours Monday to Friday ... hopefully theres a moderator or someone in the DAZ tech team who can pick this issue up sooner.

    I'm experiencing the same problem again.

    I'm getting communication to server failed. I'm based in the UK.

  • Login error in DIM. I'm on Windows 11. Login to the store does work. Communication to server failed in Daz Studio.

    OK, I see then DIM must be down and it's not because someone hacked my DAZ 3D account. I thought it was strange though it would go down after the first heavy use I made of it in months so I wrote a ticket.

    DIM was able to login and sync with online DAZ Store.

     

  • Finally worked for me too. Outage was about three hours.

    Hiya, new here. Just found out about the website thru Brian Tessler (Cool 3d world), and a collab with Jon Baken. It advertised Daz3d and I tried downloading it from the jump. No go.

    Uninstalled the program a few times because on the initial set up, after the seond screen after download it still did not recognize my credentials. I uninstalled the program again and restarted my MAC, yet, still no luck!!!!!! Software is [messed] up, especially since all yall submitted ticekts and still no luck. They probably killed the site. Happens to a lot of sites i weiah to use. They just don't work. 

     

     

    If there is new info I need to kno, reply.

    So you cannot get Install manager to log in to your Daz account? Have you tried creating a new account in Install manager, using the same details as before of course, in case it is a corruption issue (uninstalling and reinstalling won't touch settings or data so that would not have helped). You can use Install manager offline, though of course you don't get update notifications then - just use the manual download from your account page here and place the downloaded files in the Install manager Downloads folder, then when you start Install Manager in offline mode the products will appear in the ready to install tab.
