They aren't really cameras...at least not like adding a camera is. They do not have the same controls or properties as an actual camera. And comparing a render between them and a real camera gets into all sorts of problems, because of the lack of (or locked) controls. Focal length being one of the differences that can be very noticeable.
I'm not sure your point.
the Front picture is what I'm using as the note of comparison. It takes out any variable caused by a camera.
I don't know what my first friend did. My second one followed my procedure.
Would you mind folllowing my procedure and posting your result to compare?
1) open daz
2) load G2f
3) set to the Front camera
4) click G2F's head
5) click the frame item button
6) 3delight render (or screenshot will do)
What my point is, if he used a camera, with a different focal length...comparing it to the Front view won't give the same thing.
Here's the G2F Front View...
After a few different runs, the 'Views' seem to be the same as the default 65mm focal length.
And here's one with an actual camera at two different focal lengths...notice how the 85mm is sort of 'higher' (head goes above, the lips are higher, etc), but that the eyes are about in the same place?
And yours donesn't match my mac, my windows, or my second friend's...
Yours is the purple overlaid over mine.
Dunno if this hekps, but this would be how G2F head looks for me
Rendered at 746 x 745, 3Delight
added PNG render, first one was JPG
Render size and aspect ratio also affects things...so what size was yours at and I'll re-render. I didn't even think about finding out what size/aspect ratio you used until you showed it not lining up. And that's coming from the center frame function. It centers it...mostly due to aspect ratio, but size also affects it, to some degree.
it's 1200x776 / a 17 x 11 ratio
This is just getting too weird...no matter what I do, I can't get a render that matches any of the ones in this thread, except my own. It's as if each machine centers the frame differently. Even with the same settings.
Give me a camera setting and I'll match it to compare.
Simple...square 1:1 640 x 640...
Well, other than a difference in light? Render settings? Render Engine? Mine and yours is a match...SO I guess I am finaly fixed, and either my friend used the wrong model, his is weird, or just the camera he used flattened her ears.
THANKS so much for your help!
Front, sides, back, top, bottom are orthographic and that is what you have in the image where you're using front view. This image shows side by side, front view on the left, perspective on the right, of Victoria 7.
Thanks for checking Chris!
Light...I didn't use the camera headlight. I had the scene set for the flag model I did last night so I just dropped her in with the same lights.
