Speaking of crashes, I still get crashes when I load a scene containing props altered with Mesh Grabber 3 in it.
The TBB.DLL file is the one in the main folder of DAZ Studio, no other plugins are involved.
Also, it gives errors in the DAZcore.dll one.
Please, Devs, fix the issue.
I'm stuck with version 4.23.0.1 release - .4 is not showing up in my install manager = do I need a membership to update? Did they not release .4 to the public?
Thanks
The General Release is 4.23.0.1, and the Public Beta available to the public is 4.23.0.4
If this is not in your Product Library, 'Buy' it...

thanks - for the link
question - I finally got a crash that produced errors and provided me something to show the community. Has anyone else been seeing this?
What were you doing, or trying to do, when it crashed?
I bet he tried to load a scene from the File Manager (double click) with DAZ Studio running an open scene.
It's about the same error I get lately and forced me to rollback to 4.21
Does the scene loads without crashing when you do either File - Open or File - Open Recent?
Until now, no.
I work on many scenes everyday and I need to see the thumbnails so I use the file manager.
Using the Open menu or the Recent menu is impratical for me.
Where is the !iray uber base now?
Usually I'd select the meterial then surface tab/ edit and from the presets menu select the !iray uber base shader. Converted to iray quick and easy.
Is it not included on the latest build or moved ? New pc build and fresh brand new instal. What is the actual product called as I cant find it by name, Is it included on older versions only.

Thanks for the speedy reply, for some reason it isnt showing in my smart content shader menu. Added a custom action to the script menu. Cheers :)
I'm afraid I can't replicate on my (Windows) system.
First load a pretty heavy scene (at least 250Mb of size, not a simple prop in the middle of nowhere) and the load another scene of about same size double clicking on the scene file in the file manager while the first scene still loaded.
The crash happen more often if you have some props altered with Mesh Grabber 3 and not baked to morph.
Some advice. Never ever update in the middle of production. Before updating backup the old release, and be sure that all the addons you use get updated to the new release, especially PA addons. For example as @Imago reports the mesh grabber isn't updated.
Then personally as a general rule I don't update until I see in the forum that everything is settled. Never rush with DAZ, especially if you're on production.
[all projects done before 4.23 doesn't display elements in scene tab] How can I rollback the 4.23 to 4.22 ?
Nothing has changed in this respect, even the settings should remain the same if it is an upgrade in the same release channel - but make sure that the Show sub-menu in the Scene pane option menu (the lined/"hamburger" button in the top corner, orr ight-click the tab) has the standard nodes checked (usually everything but bones).
Before upgrading next time there are two ways to try.
1) Go to the Program folder, DAZ 3d, and rename the DAZStudio4 folder to match the version number of the one you are using i.e. Studio 4.21 4.22 etc. and save it. Now when you install a new version it will recreate the DAZStudio4 folder leaving your old version intact.
2) If you are using an old version and want to try a new version before installing it then install the Beta version first to make sure everything works.
I have 4.15, 4.21 +beta, 4.22 + beta and 4.23 +beta installed here.
Loading a Camera Preset including 10 cameras in 4.22 takes 1 second, but takes nearly 10 seconds in 4.23. Same issue happens to Lights Preset.
What is the problem with 4.23 on earth ?Ticket sits there for nearly 6 months....
Hey Imago, I just get triggered to ask something because "populated scene", "viewport manipulation", "crash" and "tbb" came together in your posts.
Do you, by any chance, use an intel system 13th gen or higher?
No, I have a Ryzen 9 5900X.
All works fine on previous DAZ's releases, so it's not my PC's fault, that's sure.
Oh, then nevermind. That's one checkmark to not think of anymore :)
I have the latest release and my studio takes a couple of minutes to respond to clicks in the scene or object movements when I load an existing scene. I'm getting API errors all the time with the NIDIA card, even with the latest drivers installed.
I want to roll back to 4.22, how do you do that?
The only way is to keep a backup of your old installations.
You could try rolling back to a previous NVIDIA driver.
Sadly I started at an older NVIDA, and then when started encountering the problem I bought it forward one version at a time. No joy.
That's how. It requires you have the older install package. I don't. :(
How much older? Try the minimum required version, listed in the Iray and DS update threads, though if course you may have other uses which require a newer driver and there is also the nVidia driver security issue that has only just been patched.
I am using this latest DAZ Studio Public Beta 4.23.0.4 and PNY GeForce RTX 4070 and sometimes my point visibility disappears in the DAZ Studio focus but reappears when the mouse pointer leaves the DAZ Studio focus. The only way to recover mouse pointer visibility is to exit DAZ Studio and restart it. I can do that because although the mouse pointer is not visible I can see changes in the DAZ Studio UI when the mouse pointer locations hoovers over diffirent elements of the UI. I have nVidia Studio Driver 565.90.
UV Set is not saved in the Material Preset of a geoshell, as well as in Hierarchical Material Preset. There's no such issue with Figures / Props.
Edit: Besides 4.23 GR / PB, same issue happens in 4.22.0.16 ...
