    Hello,

Thank you for the original version and thank you both for these new versions smiley

What's the best way to install the new versions when the original one was installed with DIM ?

Download the ZIP files attached to the original post and copy the files into your daz3d content library. If you've not done this before, there's a little youtube tutorial here -

There's nothing special you have to do, just uncompress the file into your library. Then either refresh your library inside daz or restart the program to see the files. NG has put his version in a "Figures" folder.

    You are all welcome!  Enjoy!

I want to add that manual installation does mean that in the unfortunate case that you ever wanted to uninstall (if the little guy is giving you nightmares), then you'd need to manually delete the files.  To do that you'd need to delete everything under the following directories in your Daz Studio Library:

    data/NewGuy/Hero Asina Relic

    Figures/Asina Hero Character

    Runtime/Textures/NewGuy/ASINA Hero

I probably should have included a readme.txt file, but was rushing to get it out and not used to the lack of DAZ installers.  Thanks again to KA for letting me add to his creation!

@Nathrai, that's how I lost all my hair!  It's an adventure in DAZ Studio for sure.

    @Carola_O, very nice image!

I wanted to add for everyone that the easiest way to pose with the mutations pack will be to use the pose controls found under the root figure.  Then use the individual bone rotations to tweak.  I didn't put any limits on the bones, so be careful not to go too far or you might get some weird distortion.

Big thank you and appreciation to NewGuy who has discovered new subspecies of relics, ensuring that no relic will be unaccounted for!

Also, great images, everyone! The month has just started, so keep them coming!

    The Yellow Ones

My mother's Great Aunt Suzie found this in a box of photos in her attic. She doesn't know where it came from. Her brother might know, but he has been missing for a few years. I hope this helps some.

Thanks, NewGuy. Great morphs - they should help a lot. I was getting very frustrated with Mesh Grabber.

In the zip with the rigged version, with the same-named copies of the original, do I let it overwrite the originals, or leave the originals?  They all seems to be the same size as the originals, but have a different timestamp.

Looking at the files, i think NGs version is just using a couple of my textures, so that's what it's asking to overwrite. His data paths are different to mine, so they will still be two separate characters.

I have them as separate directories, though. If you unzip the files into a folder somewhere, then go into daz and right-click an empty area near your folder tree, then "add a base directory...", navigate to your unzipped folder and select it as the directory. Now you can have the original and NGs version in their own separate directories. It's not really needed, but i do it.

It remains to be determined whether she dropped the relic while falling and this is how it all had started or she failed to catch it while falling... and this is how it all had started.

Both versions postworked in Affinity Photo.

I included the two original textures files from KindredArts' ASINA.  They are the same and have the same directory as the originals, which is why they are trying to overwrite.  Whether you overwrite them or not they will not make a difference if you are including them in the same library as the original.  Since this was an add-on, I probably should have not included the files and only linked to them so that everyone needed the original for it to work.  That is the way...  my bad.  I was thinking if I get some more time down the road I may try to add a few more expressions if KA is okay with that and do an rc2. Maybe when I need a break from pose building.  Hope you got everything to work well in the meantime.

@Nathrai, glad you are enjoying the rigging.  Makes it so much easier with so many relics in your render.

@joanna. I love the stylized look of the second image.  As a fellow Afinity Photo user I'm curious how you did it?

It's one of the macros in Frankentoon's POP! set. It required some tinkering with the sliders (and probably would have been better if I didn't have the background), but all in all it's great. I have quite a few of FT's products, and they're always of high quality and pleasure to use. They feel like they're made for Affinity (both Photo and Illustrator), and not an afterthought of making PS brushes and converting them only to get some $$$ out of Affinity users (which I sometimes feel was the case for other products offered in digital artists' stores). Affinity store only has 2 or 3 of his products, but you can get more on his website. My faves are Texturizer (oh, these procedural brushes heart), Concept Master - Nature, and Neptune. Splat! is nice for old comics look, and Garage Press for textures (this one's for Designer, though).

Guys i hate to add in post-hoc rules, lest you see me as some kind of tyrannical forum ogre. I've just added a quick stipulation regarding AI, as the new text-to-image tool has rather rudely dropped right in the middle of our holy union. It's no problem if you're using AI, as you're going to have to render the relic separately anyway, there's no real way around it without some kind of concerted effort. If you're using AI to a significant extent though, please leave an "AI" tag somewhere in your submission. We won't disregard submissions that contain AI, but it should hopefully reduce confusion among other forumites as to how you're compositing your scene. I'm sure everyone will maintain the spirit of competition, and not sully the dignity of our annual gatheringangel. As you were investigators.

Uh-oh... I just received a mayday from my boys in the Delta octant. It seems they've been dealing with a critter infestation on the base that's gone... a bit out of control. They really tried to lock them down, but... ASINA may have appropriated the teleporter. I don't like the looks of the surveillance images. Seems a bit... hairy up there. I might have to toss some extra credits the boys' way as a hazard pay bonus. Yikes.
