So many great renders since I last popped in.

This is Roger, a First Mate of the Butch Navy.

    Roger looks awesome!

@Butch  I don't think the covers on his bunk are regulation tight.  Might leave him open to some severe discipline.  ;)  Nice work on Roger!  He looks great.

I've been away from rendering for a while, thanks to RL "stuff," but I've been back at it since Centaur 7 was released. Here are my latest two renders:

    Off The Beaten Path

Off The Beaten Path, by L'Adair

Off The Beaten Path was my first render in several months. I entered it in the PC+ monthly competition for May, although I didn't create it for the competition. I was just so blown away by the figure, I simply had to play... RL be damned. The full size image is 1763 x 2116, (Daz resized it when I uploaded!) and can be viewed from the gallery page, here, along with a full list of Daz products used.

Now I want to pull the trigger on the Centaur in my cart. The cart is 90 dollars! Have mercy, people!

    Here's my newest:

Although maybe I should stop abusing Ron's brushes...

I read your post in the other thread... If you can wait, I'm sure there will be another sale with Centaur 7 Pro at a deep discount. Maybe in Fast Grab as the PA Festival gets closer... maybe when Centauride 7 comes out, (fingers crossed, it will be so)... I got Michael 7 pro for under $36 the January following his release.

The deals will come. The question is, can you wait that long? If so, hold off on spending that $90... As we've all learned to say, "There's always another sale!"

I don't know. It looks great to me. I think I need to use Ron's brushes more!

Due to work, I don't have a lot of time lately to pop in here to see what's new, let alone rendering stuff on my very "fast" laptop.

    Great images everyone.

I used to do paintwork for an interior decorating company called "White on White Interiors", so that was the inspiration behind this one.

Did a bit of post in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CS6.

wow, excellent renders going on here.  Very well done, mal; that piece is exceptional.  I like the white on white interior and the lighting is beautiful gerterasmus.

3dreamer, you can really get a sense of the man's thoughfulness and lonliness in that piece-again, very nice lighting and posing.

Gonna toss up two of my own here:

    Well done!

Does that mean we'll be seeing that set of uniform in the shop soon (please)?

Great job on him. I like all the details including the undies and the flower petals and the fun mug.

Great work on these. And I love the composition. Nice way to draw the eye in without the character smack dab in the middle. These look good.

    That's good

  • All of these are so incredible.  I'm just starting with Daz and am really using it for film storyboarding. But I did my first real male render and thought I'd share them. No were near as artistic as all of yours. But first try.  Hope it's not to racie for this board.

Still plugging away at the Talos thing... this is very much a WIP

This is obviously inspired by the 1963 film Jason and the Argonauts, specifically the Talos sequence.

Lighting isn't fully dialed in yet, and I need different haircuts for Herc and his friend Hylas... plus I need to figure out what happened with the helmet crest hair.  This is photoshopped a bit to make it look better/get the lighting closer to what I had in mind, but I need to dial in the sunlight a bit better in Daz.

I also need to swap out the placeholder staff for the hairpin/spear that Herc acquired,  but I'll probably need to make that.  Herc and Hylas also could use some footwear... One thing at a time.

All three characters are Michael 4 base btw, with Herc and Talos getting The Freak treatment.

I think he's really cute, and the expression matches the title perfectly! Gave it a thumbs up in the gallery. Good work.
