I think that would be a funny RYB category!
But yeah. I mean, picking something off my WL is better than nothing, and it's there because I had the thought that I might eventually use it. If it was offered free from some other way, I'd definitely take it. But the things that are on there aren't really worth $6 to me, which is why they're still on there.
free is a great sale price.
Haha, now I've waited to use my PA coupon today instead of yesterday, and along comes the wishlist coupon which gives me exactly the same discount - only on more things! I guess I might actually skip the coupon for the first time ever. With the stacking, it's a very nice sale today, although I'm still leaving the brakes on because of the Premier Studio move I really didn't (and don't) think was a good one. But that actually feels better than the massive hauls I used to do this time last year, I appreciate things much more, and finally am getting round to using them (totally alien concept I know ). So, lovely weekend shopping.
That's probably exactly what Daz will achieve with this Premier thing: You become more careful with your purchases; at least that's the case for me. Especially as it looks like some of the regular prices, as well as the discounted prices, have been increased during this sale. I was very surprised when I looked through my wishlist earlier: Aeon Soul's 'City Vibes Dress Variations Vol. 1' https://www.daz3d.com/city-vibes-dress-variations-vol-1-for-genesis-9-8-and-81 was $17 there - at 50% off! I could be wrong, but was the price for this item really $33.99 before?
AeonSoul really is very expensive, and has always been as far as I know. So that's probably the 'normal' price tag. But the quality is always very good as well I think, and if one waits a little, they're on discount quite often (and more than 50%). Try to stack with a debut new maybe?
I know, @tsroemi . I've been a fan of their work for many years. Aeon Soul's models are darn expensive, but it's worth it. Thanks for the tip though; I'll give it a try.
If you look at the price history provided by the DAZ deals plug-in you will see that 33.99 was the release price back in May of this year. Looks like the base price has always been the same.
I could do with another gift card sale - I didn't act on the one the other day because of all the other sales code issues, and when I went back the next day with the same cart the gift card sale was gone. My store credit is runing out fast.
You missed the 20% coupon that was available yesterday and the day before, which worked on gift card.
I didn't realise that worked on gift cards
To make matters worse, the day before, I had taken advantage of a sale where we could buy gift cards at 15% off on the condition that we also bought a new release for $1 or more.
The very next day, they had a sale where we could buy gift cards at 20% off with just a coupon!
(I was so annoyed that I ended up using that 20% off coupon to buy another gift card, lol)
It looks like DAZ has lowered the wishlist sale discount. I seem to recall that earlier it was 40% but now it is only 30%. Really not cool to raise prices in the middle of the sale day.
The offer was 30% just after changeover time; I've not seen 40%.
Thanks, Nath. I may be mistaken
And now I'm trying to reconstruct my order and I can't make head or tails of how it should come out with either percentage applied, especially with tokens thrown in. Aaaghhh
Found it, maybe: I reconstructed my cart, and the items that I put in there that had no other percentages off are now 25% off, they were 30% this morning, before adding tokens and wishlist code.
I'm DAZ+ with 2 punches, looks like items were getting the Premier punch percentage rather than the Plus one.
Well, non-WL items in my cart actually have lower prices than what the sale indicated they would be. I don't understand why that is and I'm not going to ask... It does make me feel better about the WL sale- few things in my WL qualify for the sale, and I was really anticipating a WL sale.
Finally, a Wishlist sale that offered -almost- everything I wanted. Unfortunately for me, the cutoff date (wishlisted before 11/20) left only three things it applied to, aside from a bunch of older DOs that I've been collecting in case they do the freebie stuff in December. Bummer for me. So I finally used my last coupon on the last day of the month - for the first time, ever, in my Daz+ membership.
I can't remember how the punch baseline spend worked in previous years, but the sales text this year is clear that qualifying purchases should be over one dollar. Will one dollar do it? Perhaps something to clarify given today's Premier offer. Not an offer I'll take up, although I'm sure others will.
Sales-wise so far, I've purchased on each day to make use of banners and vouchers. I also started from 2 punches. Beyond that, I haven't been enticed much. Today doesn't hold much of interest. I'll probably look for a lightning deal to keep my punches filled for tomorrow.
I totally forgot to use last month's DO coupon and now this month's isn't working.
Announcement "Bundle for a Buck" is somehow misleading, as it will only work for premier members - which you don't see without opening the sales page. I hate this kind of advertising. Ideal for disappointing customers, which never works well. I am DAZ+ member, expires this month, I will not renew (and that means I will buy less). I'm sooooooo tired of disappointing advertising and sales rules which constantly change and try to get me in a buying frenzy the whole year through and prices going up.
I think a lot of us feel this way. It's been a year of Daz gut punches. But Daz has finally managed to cure me of my Daz addiction with the constant disappointment and the way they take the customer for granted. The cold turkey was an awful thing to go through, but I'm out the other side now, and although there's a lot of sadness as I think about what could have been, I've realized it's always better to not be addicted to something, not matter what it is, especially when money is involved. So thanks Daz. You had me in the palm of your hand for eternity, but for some weird reason, you threw me away.
I don't feel bad. I got a lot of cool stuff this year.
Will Published Artist Golden Tickets ever change?
Probably not. I fancy they're a catch-up from the PA sale.
its pretty obvious to me that DAZ is promoting the Premier Membership over anything else. DAZ+ will at least give discounts, but Premiere is by far the way to go if you're a steady buyer. Base is overall terrible as far as pricing, and I would never buy anything at full price, as high as it is. 30% off does not cut it either. The real shocker comes when looking at DAZ+ items. Real expensive without a membership. I'm not trying to sell a membership, but if you buy a lot you need to subscribe to one of them, and the way the cookie crumbles, Premier is by far the way to go, $9 a month more or not.
Sadly Premier is a bit more than 9 a month more for me. I only buy my yearly Daz+ when it's on big sale - I think this current year I'm on was 35 bucks, but one year I got it for 17 somehow. I was sad to see there was no great bundle deal for Daz+ but after looking, I don't really mind - I'm content with my older content! :) And, on the upside, G3 is starting to pop up in huge discounts and the weekly freebies which is great for me - I'm getting more and more interested in G3 and G2 as the years go by. Zero interest in G9, but the older figures are great and so varied, especially for historical stuff.
I've been keeping my punch card up, but I'm honestly not even sure why. Force of habit and hope that we'll get that advent calendar thing again, I guess. Crossing my fingers we get the advent calender, and that they don't lock it to premiere.
