         My Darling Richard,
Ever since we met in jail, I knew you were an exceptional individual. Now, you've
almost made your one hundred thousandth Daz forum post! Some of your friends
and colleagues would like to get together with you to celebrate this momentous event.
         See you soon!
                                        Love,
                                          Lola kiss

    heart

So that's why the man of the hour, the king of this jungle, is so good at what he does! He learned the skills from prison guards (rotflmfo), subduing rude complaints . . . restraining runaway threads . . . escorting us through the DAZ Studio maze . . . standing armed guard at posts, preventing major disturbances, enforcing the rules of the facility  . . .  When you guys were hanging out, prancing around with peeps in  stripes, did Richard ever confide in you, like they do on Dateline and other forensics shows . . . did he cough up the details? Come on, I know you know the answer to the big question . . . or somebody must . . . what was his very first post?

Actually I was in prison (don't ask, it was a long and tortuous story - and i'm pretty sure it was also Jack's fault).

As for my fist post? On this incarnation of the forum (probbaly in a test area) or on the old phpbb forums (where I wasn't initially a mod, and had coming up on 60,000 or 70,000 posts at the end).

Well Richard, I must say, it's been fun butting heads with you, given the odd number of times I disagreed with you removing a post or many. You really do need to make another 2 posts though, to get you to 100k posts.

This may be the most exciting event of the sale so far.

A few of Richard's closest friends joined him in celebration of his 100,000th Daz Forum post. As barbult lowered the Forum King crown onto Richard's head, Jack gave him a solemn pawshake. Lola leaned in to kiss Richard on the cheek. Rob arrived dripping wet, still in his swimming trunks, with a (very) fresh catch for the celebratory dinner. A good time was had by all!

At least it isn't a surprise party. Though the fish may be a surprised party.

Congratulations. While a few of your posts may have been for fun, I know a great many of them are from helping others and from serving as moderator. Thanks for all your help and hard work..

I couldn't have done it without you all. Unfortunately the froum post character limit precludes an Oscar-style list of individual thanks.

I don't remember how many posts I had in the old forum, but I do remember "bumping to fix paging".

    DAZ Productions, Inc.
    7533 S Center View Ct #4664
    West Jordan, UT 84084

    Attn: Richard Haseltine

    Dear Sir:
Although we don't participate in our own forums, it has come to our attention that you are a prolific poster and have earned the respect and admiration of your peers. We have decided that it would be good PR to capitalize on that by throwing a parade in your honor. Since the airlines are unlikely to allow a cat to travel by himself, we have informed Jack Tomalin that he will accompany you. If anyone asks, you are Jack's "emotional support animal" (wink wink).
We understand that you two have traveled together before. There was some office gossip about a hosta heist and a jail break, but we choose to disregard those rumors, and we trust that you both will be on your best behavior during this trip.

This parade will cost an arm and a leg, so with all due respect, you'd better show up! Don't worry, this expense won't come out of our pockets. We have devised a scheme to get the customers to fund it, by turning Daz+ into a non-discounted monthly subscription plan at greatly increased rates. If that isn't enough, we have started an even more expensive subscription plan called Premier. We haven't heard any complaints. Have you? See you soon!

    Sincerely Yours,
    Daz3D Bigwigs

And so, after an uneventful flight with Jack in a First Class seat and Richard cramped in a cat carrier under the seat in front of him, they arrive in Utah for the parade.

Richard: Oh, dear, this is all too much! Clowns, confetti, the admiration of the cheering crowd, the sedan chair, police on horseback... Wow, I'm really famous now!

I think Richard is naked in every render I post of him. I never thought about that. I bet he didn't either, because he didn't delete them. I guess naked cats are TOS exceptions, written or unwritten. Or maybe full body fur counts as "clothes".

Congrats on the prolific postings. 100,000+ is a lot of words.  You have helped me tremendously over the years. I really do appreciate it, even though I may go off a bit when my posts get removed.

  • Thank you for everything you do, Richard! We'll see you at 200,000...
