As usual, one distinguishes two categories of creators: - “The Artists”, who compose very impressive images with their outstanding gift and their perfect mastery of all the techniques of postwork.
- “The Purists”, who exploit in-depth the techniques of Carrara, even if it is not always visible in their achievements.
I'm in two minds but my heart swings for the second category:
Entry #10
Title: String Theory
Artist: stringtheory9
Entry #3
Title: "Hot Wheels"
Artist: Mark D. Olsen (MDO2010)
We just can't seem to break the tie; or stop creating new ones! Since its late and it won't matter if I close voting now or Sunday morning I will leave it open while I round up some tie breaking help. At some point on Sunday we will have results!
As one that is as dedicated to Bryce as you are to Carrara, I'm not visiting here often. However, head wax invited us "brycers" to vote here. We share the love to do 3D art and I find it always difficult to "judge" any artwork; if the artist is happy the work is a success, no matter what others say. In fact, all entries are great, my favorites are:
1.: #10 String Theory
2.: #7 Under the Sea
3.: #3 Hot Wheels
HM: #2 Things Didn't Go As Planned...
1. First place : Hot Wheels (12 votes) - (Artist: Mark D. Olsen (MDO2010), Entry No.3) Award: $100.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s) + an items from Dartanbeck's store
2. Second place : Things Didn't Go As Planned... (10 votes) - (Artist: Antara , Entry No.2) Award: $50.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s) + an items from Dartanbeck's store
3. Third place : Out of Our Depth(9 votes) - (Artist: head wax, Entry No.8b) Award: $25.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s) + an items from Dartanbeck's store
3. Third place : Under the Sea (9 votes) - (Artist: Stezza, Entry No.7) Award: $25.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s) + an items from Dartanbeck's store
4. Honorable Mention : The guardian of Atlantis (The Mermaid) (4 votes): (Artist: DUDU , Entry No.6) Award: $10.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s) + an items from Dartanbeck's store
Congratulations to all the winners of Carrara Challenge #24. I will contact the winners via PM shortly with details to recive their prize.
Thank you all for participating and many thanks to DAZ3D and Dartanbeck for their sponsorship and support!
Conratulations to MDO2010, Antara, Headwax, Stezza, and Dudu. And thanks to Daz and Dartanbeck for generous sponsorship. Great job running the show, Stringtheory9.
While out of pure jealousy, I might be thinking "The people have spoken, the bastards!" (attributed to Dick Tuck. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Tuck), I want to offer sincere congratulations to the winners and other participants. Tremendous job, everyone.
So much to say...
Congratulations to the winners. [check] Thanks for the vote(s) and the personal HMs these are very appreciated... I must be doing something right. [check] Oh yes... congrats to everyone... a lot of very good entrys this month. I had fun and hope everyone did. Special thanks to Dartenbeck's generosity.
So what am I up to now?... Creating Vertex and Spline objects... I was away from Carrara too long and forgotten some modeling room tidbits so have been watching "cripeman" videos as well as others on youtube... and of course PhilW tutorials. I'm building my own directories for objects, terrains, shaders etc. I'm also re-working some of the objects I added in the last 2 Challenges. I'm my own WIP. :)
Congrats to all and thank you to @stringtheory9 for such a great theme.
This was a really excellent challenge and I hope everyone will continue on and participate with as much enthusiasm in the next one.:)
That being said, I have an idea for the next one that I think will be a lot of fun. I'll give everyone a little time to relax after the last challenge and will post the next one late this week or next weekend. Here's a little teaser of what I am thinking about...

Hi DUDU, you're welcome. We don't believe in disenfranchising voters here in the US! /s

What ever breaks the tie.
Pistols at 30 paces?
Scissors cuts tie . . . tie wraps paper . . .
Oh wait, wrong game!
Oh lucky me, just stopped by and saw I can vote! Silene

at first glance I would rate these:
