You're welcome. But what I wrote applies to the Legacy bundle...
If you have the original "Them Bones" product, I suspect you'll have less trouble in making it work properly :-)
I'm trying to use Studio more to take advantage of some of its features, specifically dForce. I purchased a dForce dress (1940sDress for G8F from Renderocity. I brought it into Studio and converted it to Blended Weights then imported it into Carrara. It works well, but I'd like to use dForce to drape it to look more natural. In Studio I used dForce and got the look I wanted. I used the dForce2Morph script to convert the simulation to a morph. It works well in Studio and you can see the new morph. Unfortunately, when I export the new dress (with my morph) as a scene subset or a wearablethen import it into Carrara, the morph isn't there. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
what I would try is exporting the morphed mesh from DS as well as the original mesh both in OBJ format for DS ( in base reolution ).. then I would import the original mesh and then create the morph by importing the morphed mesh.. then I would transfer the bones from the original DS mesh to the new mesh and then save that out. This usually works for me when I want DS morphs that don't work in Carrara.
I've tried importing morphs that way before and they didn't work for me. I know I was doing something wrong. Do you know of a tutorial that I can try?
Wendy,
I'm really glad to hear that it works for you. It gives me hope. One thing that I haven't run to ground is where the morph is stored. I have my runtimes organized by character, G3, G8, G9... the author's video indicates that they default to the MyDaz... runtime. I haven't been able to confirm that. Also, I'm not running cms. Could that be an issue?
Thanks for the help. I figured it out. It was saving the morphs to the wrong folder. I'm on a Mac running the windows version of Carrara in an emulator. That could be the issue, but I doubt it. The original file was in MacintoshHD\Users\Shared\Genesis 8... dForcetoMorph put the morphs in MacintoshHD\Users\Brian\Genesis 8.. I just moved the .dsf file to the correct directory and it worked! This is going to be a very useful product.

Thank you for the explanation. I own 'Them Bones.' I am sure I will refer to your notes. Much appreciated.

I have used it often in Carrara so no idea why it's not working for you
Thanks for answering.

well PostrgreSQL will not run at all on my WIN10 so no smart content
CMS runs AFAIK but somewhat crippled as a result
it saves them under Actor not morphloader and in the original data folder not your name
for example my G1 MFD walk cycle morphs are all in
I:\My DAZ 3D Library\Data\Ravenhair\GenesisMFD\GenMFD\Morphs\Ravenhair\GenesisMFD
also unfit it before running the script (or exporting an obj) or it will include the positions and shape of the figure as well as the drape

Hi guys'n'girls,
And especially to the NoName Doll fans: There is a minor update for the clothes I wasn't aware of:
