Genesis of this was Mytsy's gem render thread - the lighting is Caustics reflected off the bugs backs - the said backs being first turned into glass

most of the light coming from an anything glows using the helmet as source

Way to go, Namtar.  I really like how you've got an illustrative feel to this one, like an ad or a poster.

Stezza, I was at an exhibit on communications and they had a section on pigeons.  Took some pics for you, but they got deleted.  sad  Thought that counts?  Nice race coat.

is that like "How do you race a pigeon?" A: very quickly.

nice balance in that pose as if there is weight in that cage

Hivewire3d have released a new lion & lioness model..

Works great in Carrara with no need for converting to blended weights... loads fast and looks great.

  • UnifiedBrainUnifiedBrain Posts: 3,588

Thanks for the tip Stezza.  That lion looks terrific!

  • StezzaStezza Posts: 7,989

Nicely looking models, but there are many triangles in Hivewires3d model's topology.

Looks great! Now all you need is relish and onion.

They say that, "Only a 'muppet' would put his dog in one of those ... how does the poor thing pee?" [JOKE]

It's quite expensive for what it is and I'm sure you could have built better yourself Stezza! Why not make a coca-cola bottle one to match? A quick google image search reveals tons and tons of such costumes - some more outrageous than others laugh

It's not bad for a freebie! wink

I did this with it in that other program . . .

  • StezzaStezza Posts: 7,989

@Selina it and the hotdog stand are free at the moment... well I did buy a DO G2 product at 50% off to get them and used my store credit so it didn’t technically cost me about 6 dollars all up cool

@tangoalpha yep you can tell the diff in quality devil

  • TangoAlphaTangoAlpha Posts: 4,584

I know, but I just happened to have most of that scene already set up. So it was easy to switch the dog out of a bikini and into the buns wink

  • 3DAGE3DAGE Posts: 3,311

This scene was built as a "Quick" test scene for testing mesh lighting, using the Octane for Carrara "beta"  with the idea of giving it out , when the beta was released.

unfortunate events in real live pulled me away, just as the beta testing was ending,. and this scene was abandoned.

    anyhoo,.

these are some WIP images, as i try to finish it.
